The beauty of fragrances if that there is really is no season or you can wear whatever you want whenever you want and so dependent on chemistry and preference. However, I actually have bought the vintage Obsession for men when it first came out!!! I remember it being very intoxicating and a heavier scent, completely unisex...definitely leans Fall/Winter. I wear Obsession mostly in fall because it layers so beautifully over Pumpkin scented body butter, but I grab for it year round as long as it’s not too warm out. I think of Liz Claiborne as a yummy intermediary season scent, because it is a more heady/syrupy floral. I don’t wear it in heat or cold. It’s best in crisp spring, generally mild weather. Bijan and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique are similarly ambiguous season scents.

The Obsession was my signature scent for at least 20 years until it was reformulated and I still mourn for it.

I had this series that she did not have titled Peach Girl and being the little biatch that I apparently was, refused to let her read it. I was like, gatekeeping these books, lol. Anyways, she read them all while I was asleep and told me the next day and man, was I pissed!! That particular series was unironically about jealousy. They had these editor notes in the back and places to send fan mail and I remember writing to them expressing my anger and comparing my friend to the conniving, jealous villain from the series. They actually wrote me back saying that everything would be ok and gifted me a free book, lol. What a nerd.

Ange ou Demon is a stunning fragrance. I use to wear it in the cold weather, winter, autumn, spring, but I own an old formulation. I just love it. For me, is like a fairy tail. Plus, you will not smell it all over the place. It used to be polular, but people forgot about it. ...It is like the name and the bottle sujest: it opens up playfull, and it ends up dark and misterious. I suppose you can wear it in the summer night, but with caution.

When I was a kid (I'm 47), Obsession was worn around the clock. Sometimes, I wonder if people back then actually had a concept of when fragrances should be worn, day/night, seasons, etc! I own it and love it! It is ingrained as a permanent scent memory. Just like Navy by Dana. I also have Claiborne by Liz Claiborne. Actually, when I started my perfume collection, I made it my mission to gather all the fragrances I wanted but couldn't have/afford when I was a kid. Plus, it was a good place to start as they are mostly reasonably priced. 😅 My husband doesn't wear fragrance, but I have even gone so far to collect some men's fragrances from my past as well. I love being able to walk done memory lane through a scent. I own stuff that I love and wanted! It's never about the current trend, etc. Although, YT had made me buy a few 😅 I love 5th Avenue Royale because it reminds me of all the things from my childhood rolled into one bottle, and I've never smelled that fragrance before in my life. To me, it's sex, drugs, and rock and roll! It's the dark room in our home where my parents partied, burned incense, and had christmas lights. It's the cheap berry potpouri spray my mom would spray when she was masking the pot smell. It's the men that came over with cheap aftershave, whose smell assimilated into the air. It's the powdery carpet fresh that my mom sprinkled on the floor before she vacuumed. It's the flavored chapstick we wore as tweens and the Hubba Bubba gum we chewed. It's the grape and black cherry Kool-Aid! It's crazy how much I love that perfume! Long, but true story 😂. I wear it when I'm feeling extra sexy and that can be anytime during the year! 😂😂😂

Ange au Demon is a such a weirdo! I find it a bit of a mood changer and one I would not wear if I was feeling blue. It’s warm and cold all at once. I would say it’s a year round frag but it definitely changes with temperature. Also and excellent night time scent! My bottle turned so I got rid of it as was starting to smell like celery lol but I’d love a fresh one in the future.

I need to get that Patchouli. I was a hippie and associate patchouli with camping, bonfires, making love in the forest. My mom loved Liz Claiborne!

👋🏽..I've had Pure and loved it so much. I wore it a few times in cold weather but mostly warm weather. I enjoyed it no matter the season. I've had Liz Claiborne years ago in my teens and loved it as well don't remember if I wore it in cold season or hot... ..both are amazing... .love your videos... .

I love Patchouli too. Just picked up Estee Lauder Aliage, Clinique Aromatics Elixir and Halston (Mercari). All are Patchouli heavy. They’re probably more fall/winter but all year for me, it seems to fill a hole somewhere inside me. I wonder if your patchouli is different enough to seek out.

I do wear Pure by Alfred Sung, mostly in the spring and summer but really anytime. It feels like a very clean fragrance to me and I actually love to wear it to sleep

Hi. I enjoy your channel. Pure by Alfred Sung is confusing to me. Initially, I get a blast of citrus, maybe pineapple etc. Then within a few minutes it goes all soapy and shampoo-ey. Then only occasionally the citrus wafts back. I don't get the mid or base notes - the florals, the amber, the woodsy notes, or cinnamon - at all. Like KK's Pure Honey. There too I only get soap/shampoo too. So I use both Pure and Pure Honey (funny the almost pun) as linen sprays because they do smell so clean to me...

I would be so curious to hear your thoughts on two of my favorite, even though they are not my most worn, fragrances. The first is Yves Rocher Venice - when I saw that some people compare it to Obsession I had to try Obsession (5the new version... which I do like). Venice is so beautifully spicy! The second is Clinique Simply. It’s warm, soft, and cozy - and so unique, I smell nothing gourmand or floral in it.

Oh man I cannot stand marigold, carnation or pachouli or anything heavy like that. It smells very old ladyish to me! Do you know perfumes do go bad and expire so while they are nice maybe to keep putting the soft reasons I don’t know that you should be putting them on at least not your skin. Please be careful
