Description and Ingredients:
Since I was little, oriental salad has been and still is my favorite. Whether we're talking about fasting days when my mom made a fasting oriental salad, or days when you didn't know what else to do but make a quick potato salad.
Years have passed and I still have our salad, and now it's my turn to prepare it for my family. So in this week's episode, because we're fasting, I made a potato salad with vegetables, super tasty and appreciated by my loved ones.
Whether you make an oriental salad with eggs and olives, or maybe an oriental salad with mayonnaise, it will turn out exceptional.
And if you haven't tried a potato salad with marinated fish, don't be upset but it's time to do it.
I'll leave you the list of ingredients below, to make it easier for you to prepare.
Oriental Fasting Salad Ingredients (4 servings):
- 500 gr boiled potatoes with skin;
- 1 large onion (red or white) / (marinated or plain);
- ½ bunch of fresh parsley;
- Vinegar to taste;
- Salt to taste;
- 50 gr olives;
- 50 ml oil or to taste;
- 1 red bell pepper;
Optional:
Radish, cucumber, green onion
For Oriental Salad:
- add 3 hard-boiled eggs, cut into pieces.
For Potato and Fish Salad:
Add smoked fish, or marinated herring, or salted or marinated mackerel.
