Same I didn't know what I was getting my self into I messed up the wing prefolds on my first try got all the way to the wing collapse and failed miserably but, even tho I messed up a lot I redid it (thankfully) and once I finished the collapsing it was really easy from then to the finish and it looked great

Had no idea what I got myself into. It’s complex level 10. 😅😅My paper couldn’t hold all the intricacies and started to rip.

Nice design! I feel like it would be really cool if you design a bumble bee. It would be a 32x32 grid like the ant with a similar design but it will have a stinger and a different shape for the legs and head.

Folded it today, it is NOT intermediate, folded a lot of models before, here the folds are one of the frustrating ones.

if you've made "flashers" before or any kind of tessalating patterns, like in many rose origami, you will get good practice for folding these kinds of models. it helps me a lot with understanding the crease pattern on a grid and then collapsing! happy folding.

Amazing design, I almost gave up on it during the collapsing stage, but I stuck through it and succeeded! Unfortunately I got a tiny tear at the wing, but it's barely noticable. I will try this again with prettier paper at some point!

hey guys i decided it's time to make intermediate and complex origamis but i have a lot of difficulty making the folds i believe it's because of the paper which is so hard will the paper suitable for origami solve my problem? Is the difference really that big?

Using a thinner paper definitely helps; lately I’ve started using tissue foil paper and it is a big improvement! (However I find that it tears very easily, you have to be extra careful)
