✨The Origami is a practical and aesthetically pleasing coffee dripper. It works with both cone-shaped and flat-bottomed paper filters. In this video, let's take a look at the unique design and versatility of the Origami Dripper, and I'll share my recipes with you.
☕Brewing Recipes:
- Coffee: 15 grams of light-roasted Ethiopian beans.
- Water: 240 grams at 94°C, aiming for a 1:16 brew ratio.
Cone-Shaped Filter Recipe (For Brightness & Clarity):
Blooming: 60g; 0 ~ 30s
2nd Pour: 150g; 30 ~ 50s (Circular pour)
3rd Pour: 240g; 1 min ~ 1 min 30s (Center)
Flat-Bottomed Filter Recipe (For Body & Sweetness):
Blooming: 50g; 0 ~ 30s
2nd Pour: 100g; 30 ~ 45s (Circular pour)
3rd Pour: 150g; 1 min ~1 min 10s (Circular pour)
4nd Pour: 240g; 1 min 20s (Center)

Is your wooden holder an official origami one? I see the logo on it, but the only ones I see from them dont have the ridges!

I had an origami brand one with no ridges and I hated it, but the dripper sat fine. Might sound crazy but after making hot coffee it smelled so weird after. I got the resin one with the ridges - sits fine of course and no odd odor. If you go with the wood one no need to worry, the brewer sits fine

Why pour just in the centre at the end?

Hi! Center pouring at the end results in a faster drawdown time, which also reduces agitation and bitterness. I do this with lighter roasted beans to get brighter notes and more clarity. Of course, that's just my preference, circular pour is totally ok. 😉
