IMO Jay, you have the best demos on KZfaq. First, it's is so refreshing to see someone demo gear who actually plays music, not just noodles lead. You can hear it in context. Explanations are clear and on point and the audio and production are top notch. Kudos.

What a great pedal! I can't decide if I want this more than the new Hamstead Signature Tremolo, or if I want both on one board. The addition of the drive section to the Revival Trem is really compelling. The only thing both of these pedals lack is a square wave feature, which I've used in the past as a very "effect-y" type of tremolo, via the Boss PN-2 I used to own.

Awesome pedal. Typical killer playing from JLJ. The bias trem is right on; the drive doesn't sound like a Brown Deluxe exactly. So for the price, I'd buy an Allen Hot Fudge n' Nuts.

"An overall general EQ sound." Could you be more specific please. This is a sweet sounding pedal, very dynamic...and for those of us who cannot afford even a reissue brown or blackface

It acts more like a tone knob for the overall amp sound. Some apms may sound with too much trebble or others too muted or bassy. So this knob solves that final necessary eq step after set all your tone. I think is fantastic, isn't it?

I think what he meant to say is that it’s a global post-EQ for the pedal to balance the sound with your amp (preamp, more specifically). That’s how Origin usually sets up their pedals.

They have some great sounds but yeah they aren’t cheap. They put a lot in their pedals though. Heavy and thick like your men haha 😉.

NO the ultimate brownface pedal would have HARMONIC trem. This is half of a great pedal V2 (to come out in 3rd quarter 2022) will have both- it is tiring how this shit works but nontheless

Brownface Deluxes (the amp this is based on) actually had fixed bias tremolos: it's the bigger amps like the Twin, Pro, Super, etc. that had harmonic tremolo tones 👍 That being said, a harmonic version would be fun!

@@JayLeonardJ Ok i acknowledge that i did not read the title properly and read it "Ultimate Brownface Tremolo". and yes Deluxes and the other smaller amps had the bias trem ( as do blackface princetons btw). I think most people associate brownface trem with the Harmonic tremolo but i may be wrong

You hit on a really cool topic here: lots of people definitely associate Brownface amps with Harmonic Vibrato, yet the Brownface Amps that most people talk about of the most (Princeton, Deluxe, Vibroverb) don't have it. Maybe the attachment comes from the fact it is the only Fender-era that had that kind of effect at all. There might be a cool video idea in this discussion somewhere... @@phladjki oh I am just speculating- Bias Trem is not a "unique Brownface" trem- I mean you can walk into any guitar center today and pick up a Princeton RI with the same tremolo (I am talking about the cheapo pcb 65 RI series). There are millions of cheap silver face Vibrochamps out there collecting dust with bias trem (although that is the preamp wiggle , which some prefer and some don't). Harmonic tremolo happened for a very short time and was oddly complex for Leo Fender's notoriously frugal approach to engineering> when one talks about "Brownface trem" they aren't talking about bias trem available throughout the blackface and silverface (and modern ) eras. I am just speculating about Origin Effect harmonic trem- just how things are marketed today.
