Never in my life have i seen a Aboriginal be portrayed in anything outside of Australian films. But now that this has been brought into light, i'm actually really happy about it. I'm aboriginal myself, and it surprised me when i saw the wizard in this video. But all in all, i honestly loved that they used a culture that is almost never realised in the comic fandom, let alone the DC universe! :D

One of my favorite heroes. Never felt like Shazam was given the respect? I’m so so on this New 52 version of Shazam? Hopefully this movie will breathe some air into the character. My favorite version was from Justice league Unlimited. Superman vs Shazam was 🔥. Going with the trouble teen might be cool though.

As much as I love Djimon Hounsou, I reckon they should have gotten an actual aboriginal to play the wizard. I definitely believe Ernie Dingo would have made the perfect candidate 💯 He has the just the perfect amount of wit and humour to go along with the movie adaptation of the character.

I always thought that the wisdom of Solomon referred to King Solomon of Bible lore who was not in fact a god LOL maybe they made him one in the DC universe but that's kind of strange I always thought it was just a metaphor for saying how wise shazam is

I find it odd that no one has pointed out that Solomon is not a "god" but was in fact King David's son who God offered him whatever he wanted and instead of wealth or power Solomon asked for a wisdom and knowledge to govern properly a people vast and numerous. God was so impressed with that request that He not only gave Solomon more knowledge and wisdom than any before but also vast marks of honor, wealth, and long life (among other things). It is also important that it is Wisdom that is first because without that the other powers aren't actually useful as they can lead to extreme self-destructive behavior (see Black Adam as an example of that).

Great way of explaining Shazam(The God that gave Billy Batson his powers) origin. I've always wondered what his origin was or if he even had an origin. On the basis in the comics he was just there.
