Probably the top two best animal comic book characters of all time, it’s about time that Ace and Krypto get their own history of video. Perfect way to promote League of Superpets

I loved Krypto the Superdog animated series and it even introduced Ace The Bathound but I like Ace from Batman Beyond.

I still like the backstory to Ace in Batman Beyond. While he was never officially the Bathound, he is a kindred spirit to the elderly Bruce Wayne.

1:09 Technically, Clark’s dog in Smallville was named Shelby, and served as more of a reference to Krypto. Regardless, this was still an interesting explanation of the origins for both dogs.

Big love to you Arris for the Ace drop in Batman Beyond, he was ALWAYS a favorite without question ESPECIALLY in the beginning where he and Terry didn't get along only for them to become bffs later and in return of the joker to see how much he cares about Bruce especially helping both guys with the attack of the joker and his minions. And big love to Johnson, Hart, kransinski, Reeves, and even the GOAT Kevin Conroy for making this first major cgi dc animated movie in theatres feel super fun. Well see how this rivals into the spiderverse. I'm glad both companies still find value in animation on a major motion picture LEVEL amidst ALL the live action continuity madness.

Ace has his own origin episode in Batman Beyond. It's different, but still really good. It also shows how much Ace means to Bruce as, when he goes missing, Bruce is extremely worried about where he went. In most of the series, he is very cynical and acts like Ace isn't as important to him as he actually is. Only once he comes home does he express how happy he is that Ace came home safe thanks to Terry.

It’s worth noting the modern origin for Ace might’ve also been influenced by his origin in Batman: Beyond where ace was an illegal animal fighting ring dog owned by a shady gangster that escaped. Later becoming the dog of an elderly Bruce Wayne after Ace saved him from a clown street punk trying to rob him. The parallels of both versions of Ace being dogs with bad/evil owners used for shady purposes before being adopted by Batman are there and I wouldn’t be surprised if the similarities weren’t entirely coincidental.

I like the new 52 krypto story better. I think it's a great story. With him being with Clark the whole time a certain way. It's just heart felt and very cool.

Krypto has with his new spotlights become one of my favorites. Though honestly I don’t really find Ace all that interesting. There’s alot you can do with a space dog that has all the powers of Superman, but what can you do with what’s just a dog in a mask? Hell why even give a dog a mask? Just have Ace be Bruce Wayne’s pet guard dog and bam he’s part of the DC continuity.

Batman Beyond was my introduction to Ace, and man was he awesome. He added a lot of much needed humanity to the bat cave, giving bruce something to care about aside from Terry and himself. Also the episode where he got captured was surprisingly one of the better ones in the series.

I remember Krypto own Animated series cameout when I was 9 years old. My sister was 6 years old during her Kindergarten year she remember watching that in her class room. Currently she's all grown up and she works at a Veteranian office.

Krypto never appeared in the smallville tv show. What they thought was a dog from krypton was actually just a regular earth dog being pumped full of kryptonite steroids, Clark saved the dog, named it shelby, and it became the kent family dog.
