IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT SAFETY AND KZfaq:
• Teaching KIDS TO SURF ...
This is a RESPONSIBLE and RESPECTABLE channel.
My channel does not promote or glamourise dangerous activities like lift surfing.
I've seen recent evidence of kids surfing, or attempting to surf lifts which was also shown in THE SUN and THE MIRROR newspapers (see above link).
VERY WORRYING...
• Video
It goes without saying that KZfaq is a public platform and our channels are popular with kids, and kids are influenced by what they watch. I'd like to think these kids didn't get the idea from my channel.
A warning in a video DOES NOT exonerate you if harm should come to a kid that was copying something that YOU have portrayed as a fun activity.
..........
THE MRMATTANDMRCHAY CHANNEL, established 2008:
I'm passionate about uploading quality and interesting videos for YOU, my audience.
What is my channel about? "Old lift machinery made interesting", old air-raid sirens, prehistoric alarm equipment. If "I" don't find it interesting ...then IT DOESN'T GET UPLOADED!
I always spend a lot of time editing my videos with animations, video in-sync with music and voice overs to make them this way.
My moto - "Quality NOT Quantity" - spending a month editing a video is not a rarity!
But without you, I'm nothing here. Thank you so much for watching.
...mrmattandmrchay is me (Matt) and my son Chay.
THANK YOU very much for watching :)

@@mrmattandmrchay Really very scary and shocking. Your warning video about the Kids surfing lifts is also very good. This lift surfing trend has to end. Have you got in contact with that person from that video? He wants to do something against this Person (I will not mention his Name, but I think everyone knows who I mean)

The contactor in the cabinet seems a little worn. There is a lot of arcing when latched.

true. it shouldnt be arcing like that. it will fail prematurely if not adressed. good thing you can preform maintenance on this type of contactor. it should be ok when you clean the contacts.

The shaftview looks very cinematographic, it's the lightning+music and the editing that gives it a certain atmosphere. I wonder if Matt did something with the camera's shutterspeed to capture the sparks on the relays.

I have been on a couple of single-speed lifts, but not for years. Both lifts are now long gone. They scared me when I was a child, due to the jolts as they stopped. We referred to one as the jumpy lift. I travelled on the other one a few years later.
