Len Sakata may be a few forgotten Orioles but that game against the blue Jays was the best of his career and that may had lead the Orioles tom their world series they would go on to win.

I was there the night Tippy picked-off three runners. My dad and I, always sat in the general admission/bleacher seats right next to the foul pole in right field. We were there for the whole Toronto series. Truly was magic that night, still get chills thinking about it.

We almost walked out Memorial Stadium on this game as the Os had blown opportunities to tie/take the lead in the 7,8 and 9th innings...Glad we stayed.

The Orioles finally come through and winning another World Series after being contenders. Since they won their last WS in 1970.

Its bizarre to think that Camden Yards has never hosted a World Series and M&T Bank Stadium has never hosted an AFC Championship. When you look at it, both stadiums have good resumes, but from a mystique standpoint there will be nothing in this city like the old Memorial Stadium. The World's Largest Outdoor Insane Asylum.

I think Lowenstein also said the reason Tippy picked off 3 guys at 1B was because Eddie Murray was the only guy he recognized in the infield. 😂

Just like the '83 birds, the Orioles today are pulling together as a team. Different heroes shine every night like Lew Ford, Nate McClouth, Taylor Teagarden, and Ryan Flaherty. 2012 WS Champions!!!

Any truth to the rumor that Edward Bennett Williams predicted during the Orioles' 1983 World Series championship celebrations that the song "Don't Disturb This Groove" by The System would be a big hit in just a few years? I hear that dude was hip to some sweet tunes, man!
