Really nice video! How would you treat the same model or a stompa if you had to paint it Red? I wanted to use the same typer of technique for my kult of speed but I'm afraid the red would be too dull and not contrast enough with the rust

Andy is working on a speed freeks with rust effects video ATM so that will be out soon. You will be able to see the results and work out from there how you want to paint your stompa.

amazing work can i ask what dimensions are the masking tape squares please ?

that you for your question, the masking tape was about 5mm in width,. As for as I can remember that's on of only a few sizes. we think the come in 10mm 5mm and 3mm .

@@BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio thank you for your reply you can now get masking tape in 1 & 2mm width sizes i wanted to know what size did you cut the squares at i have drawn a 2 x 2mm grid onto masking tape but wanted to know if that was to big or to small for the scale please ?

We really don't remember, this was so long ago. When we can get back in the studio I will try to remember to measure them for you.

I would guess that I just cut the square the same as the width so if you are using 1 and 2mm I would just cut it the same the other way I do think for this model it was at least 3mm. I will let you know on Monday as I just sold this model and need to go pack it up for the customer, so I will check it then.

Just got into the studio an measured the squares for you they are 5mm squares, sorry for the confusion.

What varnish do you use? Vellejo's?

ooks really good and congratz for winning the golden demon! I have a question: at 1:56 you say that you spray the hole model with filthy brown...but on the screen their is the yellow mixing pot and right next to it you have VMA yellow (71002). Did you use that instead of filthy brown? Because filthy brown looks more brown in pictures and not this "brighter" yellow colour. I'm just making sure before buying the colours because I want to paint my ork buggy like the Gorkanaut! :) Thank you!

I know that the trend in the last couple years has been to try and simulate a "glow" effect around lighting fixtures, but without the sharp, glossy contrast that light emits, it just doesn't work. Not here, and not anywhere else either, in my opinion.
