I often have trouble sleeping. Tonight is a prime example; it's nearly 2am. The calmness of your voice and camera lady's are very soothing and relaxing while the content is interesting and informative. I often rewatch your rehousing and egg sac videos to relax. You could easily have a second channel where the two of you just read or tell stories aloud.

Dave your new blackout blind is great but you could do with some uplighting when you are doing you intro because your face is in auite a lot of shadow and Iknow its more important to see the spiders but we also like to see your cheerful face.

The best part about your videos is how much fun you and camera lady clearly have making them (along with the cool spiders and other critters!)

I got 3 of them. Mine are scared of Light and can only be seen at night. I keep them on cocofibre mixed with compost and javamoss.They grow fast as stones. But they are fascinating with their colours. 😊

They're very beautiful. Not only the color but also because of they"re quite docile behavior. I thought the same as you...that the variety in the colouring good have something to do with the sexes. That would be even more awesome. The wonders of the Tarantula World are countless it seems.

The arachnophobiac is back, yet again! Who knows when your channel will have resulted in me getting my own spiders. Not an impossibility anymore. I visited a former gf yesterday and started telling her about your channel, talked about different Tarantulas, your rescue, funnel spiders, the pairing of those golden spiders (the video with the lovely netting and female was huge) and much more. Well, about two weeks ago I started collecting tarantulas for the first time with purchases of 2 Pink Toes and a Mexican Red Knee, all in the first week. Then last week I decided to move on up to Old World tarantulas with a Straight Horned Baboon -- cute little bugger that likes to teleport out of sight.😆 Now just today I bought a Vietnamese Silver. Can't get enough of the little guys.

Great timing, I was going to get a Vietnam silver in a few days 😅

Is that little ovally shape on the top of the spider's head, the eyes? Do spiders have eyelids? Why doesn't the cricket jump out? The females are going to be really beautiful when they 'grow up', that steely blue colour with the mustardy yellow is just gorgeous.

Those two shinier spiders were gorgeous! Beautiful stripping on the abdomen, too. It will be interesting to see if the coloring shows their sex.

These are absolutely on my list. Though I was slightly put off by the Fossorial element and a dwindling amount of space on my spider room... But the fact they can be terrestrial as well puts them right back to the top of my list. They're absolutely stunning and thank you for an informative video 🙌🏾

I wonder if there similar to how the chilobrachys sp Vietnam blue is when they start to change colour when approaching moult

I'm not sure if you said how they are as far as are they more of a spider for a more experienced keeper or could a newbie like myself try to raise one? They are very beautiful spiders. I'm not anywhere near an expert. Very new in the hobby with only 1 curly haired (which is coming along nicely I must add, following your directions to the T!!). Just don't want to get in over my head as I'm enjoying watching this Lil guy/girl come along. Don't want to ruin it for myself as I'm still a bit skidish. Thank again for all you do. I very much enjoy watching your videos. Look forward to them when I get up in the mornings (your usually putting them up when I'm sleeping because of our time difference). Individuals vary and there are sexual and age color differences within species, but are there also "racial" differences? Differences within species based on locale of origin, or perhaps genetic blood line? What a fascinating hobby you two are into!

We've tried potting soil in our slings homes with driftwood that I collect for various crafts only to have the wood go moldy. Recently rehoused 9 slings using "jungle mix", no more mold.

Man these things are gorgeous! I quit keeping oldworlds b/c I was always afraid of escapes/bites. Any bite reports on these?
