@@daniellerendeniz I started mewing at 19 and around the same time got Smiledirect (think mail order clear braces). About 2 years on retainers and smiledirect goes out of business so I have no where to get retainers with dropping thousands. Admittedly my teeth have moved without them, but nearly a year and I still get compliments about my teeth , have no problems eating or breathing. I attribute it to mewing that I've done ok with retainers but it could be anything. But hey I like to say mewing doesn't cost anything and it done me good for 5 years now.

I have a tip for you, if you have the classic forward neck and slouched posture or thoracic kyphosis, try maintaing lumbar lordosis posture for 5 minutes, your muscles will ache after that but now you will not go back to the slouch or kyphosis. And if you have lumbar lordosis just do it in reverse with the slouch posture.

This. Now we're talking real stuff. I mean, there are lots of things you can do to help posture, but so much of it is on a subconcious level. Many restrictions of poor posture is in the brain-to-body connection and some of it is in the fascia. Oro-myofuncional exerises isn't the only way to go about it.

I unfortunately have to get extractions soon due to decay, and I'd like to know if there is anything I can do to minimize damage and keep my face looking good after its done. Wonderful work! Thank you Dr! Just for your consideration and further investigation: Please, for correct spinal arrangement look into the theory and practice of the "J-spine". This is found mainly in Esther Gokhale's work and the Whole Women community with Christine Kent. This theory is based on the ancestral posture or natural posture still observable in tribal communities. The anterior pelvic tilt is needed for this, and sacral flexibility. What I find also important as a yoga teacher is to teach people that pelvic floor is not a floor, and the ribcage should not be tilted backwards. This helps optimal diaphragm positining. Greater lumbar lordosis and lesser upper kyphosis is what gives the spine the J- shape. This also brings the head and neck backwards like in chin tuck. When applying increased anterior tilt with J-shaped spine it helps normal continence mechanisms of the bladder, uterus and sigmoid colon which helps prevent many problems like sagging internal organs and prolapse.

Speaking of posture, I had a big light bulb turned on, a week ago, after visiting, in DC, the exhibition of Tuthankamon tomb ( a replica of course). It is well known the head forward posture of Pharaohs or various deities representation found in that tomb. One of the objects found in the tomb was a headrest which the Pharaoh was using to rest his head on, the explanation of the guide said. That object was looking a bit like a cradle or an anvil, superbly decorated and hard as a stone which was actually made of. Then, all of a sudden I understood where the head forward posture was coming from. And what’s also interesting is that the pharaohs, although very young at the age he passed, 18, has a bit of a belly protruding.. I am wondering if you, Dr. Mew, wouldn’t like to make an analysis of these aspects.

The Gokhale Method helped me to transform my posture by softening my knees in order to straighten my spine during standing. She explains in great detail how to walk properly, using the glutes to propel the body forward instead of the quads and knees. Tucking the pelvis is something we all learned to do, but it inhibits proper spinal alignment. Her method goes hand in hand with mewing! I highly recommend: she transformed my life out of chronic pain and ugly posture. She's referenced in the book "Jaws" as well.

Alright, so this is hardly week 2, and I am already seeing results 😂 but one thing to take note of is I already have apparent jawline 😂 but mewing gave details to it and made it more prominent. I am confused because I didn't expect results to show up this early. And I think it takes time for those who are war far from Jawline... so that's just an update from my side... Again, it gave detail to my already PROMINENT JAWLINE.

Did the doctor advised to run with heels or ball of foot? We should apply this for walking too?

Hey Dr. Is there any side effects in mewing. Would the front teeth move forward??

It’s bad for TMJ, so some doctors advise against it. However in standard dental practices they do have diagrams showing how the tongue should be pressing upwards at the rooftop inside the mouth, than hanging down below. For the tongue you don’t wanna press onto your teeth, there’s a point that has a bit of curve right behind called incisive papilla and that’s where you wanna put it.

Спасибо! Это очень познавательное видео, согласен босиком бегать не везде можно. Даже Христос не ходил босиком путешествуя от города к городу, а тем более бегать.
