OSE Dolmenwood: Hole in the Oak - Episode 1

Күн бұрынSince we couldn't play our usual D&D game, we started a new Old School Essentials game set in Necrotic Gnome's Dolmenwood setting. In this episode we roll up some characters and then descend with them into the Hole in the Oak.

Have a look at the various dm facing mechanics as they are vital for running this version of the game.

The unit of time called a turn is 10 minutes. Most actions during exploration cost a turn. eg. Torches burn out, encounter dice are rolled as time passes.

This is a core thing because it adds a lot of the baked in dangers to the system.

Wait how does it make sense to have to roll over attributes? That would mean you'd rather have low attributes, which makes no sense. Pretty sure it's roll under.
