Hey guys just a quick tip to anyone that completed the quest: Grab your digsite pendant and teleport to fossil island. Take the mushroom patch to the meadows and run to the row boat to lithkren. From there, go back into the dungeon where Galvak cutscene happened. Run north past the addy/rune dragons and to your east you'll see a strange machine. Use your digsite pendant on it and now you've unlocked a new teleport (Lithkren) directly to addy/rune dragons instead of running from fossil island.

even with quest helper i still watch these cause he tells you what to bring and what you dont need. and ofc its classic to have his voice going in the background

for anyone who cant find amelia around 50:30 into the quest they moved her to the southeast side of the city. i think this area was redone

I recommend bringing a stamina potion for the final boss fight. after the second phase he drains your run leaving you with 0 run for the 3rd phase! LIKE this so people can see

So I just finished this. Wanted to give some thoughts from a mid-level player who refined different strategies over like... 10 attempts? Idk I'm not proud, but here it goes. My stats: cb 104, ranged 77, magic 75, hp 85, 81 def. 1) this is probably a fairly below average guide for this quest. Who's doing this on maxed main? It's not particularly useful with all the expensive gear and resources when the minimum level to complete this quest is like 86? 2) For repeat attempts, going to W330 or your own PoH, going to Lunar Isle and getting kicked off allows you to get to Rellekka without wasting a tele inventory space. Alternatively, you can move your house there and use the house as your 1-click. 3) Specifically for the Mith/Addy/Rune drag part, make sure to pray Ranged on Mithril, Magic on the other two. Just keep moving. And a bit longer for the Galvek part: 4) For Galvek, make sure you're using a Crossbow + Anti-Dragonfire Shield with Ruby Bolts (e), they have the ability to proc "Blood Forfeit," dealing 100 damage in one attack (usually 20% of enemy hp, capped at 100). This is monumentally useful for getting through Galvek's massive 1200 hp pool. Pray mage on phases 1 and 2, pray ranged on phase 3 and 4, as he uses his ranged much more frequently. My inventory was kind of expensive, 12 Saradomin Brews, 6 Super Restore Potions. Ranging Potion, Extended Super Antifire Potion, and 4 food that I didn't eat. The super antifire + antidrag shield stops you from taking a ton of damage, one or the other will not suffice. With this, he never hits hard enough to warrant combo-eating, so leave the Karambwans at home and bring higher-healing food. You can spec Galvek with dwh or bgs, but I found that when I tried to use my bgs, I'd die. Sometimes it worked, sometimes I was too focused on my gear/prayer switch back to run from his dragonfire. One time I forgot to re-equip anti-dragonfire shield, and I died to regular attacks. Just not worth it with this setup, imo, unless you're determined. The times it did work, I got to the final phase much faster, but I consistently /didn't/ die in the first phase unless I was trying to spec. You don't need run energy for any phase; don't bother with a stamina potion. You might think running is more useful in the third phase for the waves, but if you stay in the center you can always get to where you need to be by walking, and with fewer misclicks. If you're really concerned, you regen run energy quickly enough to get the short burst by pressing ctrl + click to where you want to go and then return to walking. Stamina pot is just another thing to worry about, so I leave it home. For the final phase of Galvek, switch to Diamond Bolts (I used (e) variant) for harder hits, Blood Forfeit won't deal as much anyway. Stay on one side of him, he'll occasionally teleport you, just stay on that side, but don't walk along him. It's annoying trying to stay out of melee distance when moving from the front to the back of the boat, and you can easily walk back and forth on either the North or South side. Click to move, click to eat if necessary, click to attack, repeat. I can't stress enough to keep moving and keep your health up. Sara brews only regen 14 for me, but that's 56 per brew. One attempt I got him so low I stopped caring about my health (mistake). Another attempt(s) I focused so much on my health that I stopped moving between attacks, got hit by the rock, and then he brought down his 1-hit. If you get caught, there's a chance he won't use his dragonfire, but if he starts the animation, tele out to save 100k. The first two phases go by so quickly (because of blood forfeit) that I recommend setting your quick prayers up for Pray Ranged + Eagle Eye/Rigour, and manually select pray mage for the first two phases for easier final phases. **Editing post-change. You no longer lose any tier of Ava's Device on death now. The following information is no longer useful: My last recommendation is to just take 10k gp + 750 steel arrows to Ava to stock up on accumulators. I didn't realize I could buy multiple at once so I went back to get a new one every time I died. Hope this helps someone.

Completed at 69 range. Tips for low cb players. You can safespot the metal dragons by standing under them. It's a bit annoying to setup but when they move keep walking underneath and they will eventually stand still. Below is my inv setup and what I did to kill him. For Galvek I had snakeskin boots, rbc, red dhide top/bottom, neitiznot helm, accumulator, ring of life, fury, bgloves, anti drag shield and ruby bolt e and diamond bolt e (for under 150hp). For inventory I had 6 super restores, extended antifire, ranging pot, stamina pot, house tabs (not needed) and the rest brews. If you get a bad phase 1/2 just port out. It's not worth your time. I got lucky and got 3-4 ruby bolt specs in the first two phases and ended the fight with 1 super restore sip remaining. If I had to do anything differently I would bring 1 more super restore or even two. Phase 1 pray mage, rest of them pray range. Dodge the rocks he throws, use stamina when ur drained and cant run and on phase 3 stand in the center so you are close to where the wave safespot is. DONT STAND STILL IN IT. When you're lined up keep running. You always need to pay attention to if a fireball is coming down or you will be one-shot. Other than that, if you could make it to Galvek by beating Vorkath at low combat you can do this! He's much easier, his high HP makes ruby bolt procs hit hard as fuck. Teleport out and in a dozen times if you have to in order to get a lucky run. Good luck!

Thank you for the guide! For anyone in the future who is looking to complete the quest, I struggled very hard on my ironman against the last boss. I will write my setup below as a minimum requirement to complete the quest (anything lower is not recommended). Also, for the final boss fight start praying Protect from Ranged starting on phase 3 (tsunami phase) because he will use ranged attack much more frequently starting on phase 3. Stats: 104CB, 80 Defense, 86 Health, 80 Range, 70 Prayer All my stats are really low for the last boss. Equipment: Verac's helm, Karil's top, blessed d'hide chaps, rune crossbow w/ ruby bolt (e) & diamond bolt (e) Those bolts are a must, do not even bother attempting without ruby and diamond bolts. Inventory: Antifire potion, Range potion, Super Defense, Super Restore, Prayer potion, Tuna potato + Karambwan Sara brew is highly recommended.

The other reward of finishing the quest is seeing your outtakes/bloopers at the end. Always include them, they are so funny!! I think they also make us feel better when dying from these final fights

If you are struggling on Robert the Strong because you aren't melee oriented (I have only 60 attack), pick up a dragon mace. Its special attack gives extra damage AS WELL as 25% accuracy, and can be used 4 times.

Hey man, just FYI, for the wave of metal dragons, there's a really easy safespot I found if you're having trouble killing them without dying. You can stand right at the back of the boat, turn your sounds up and only move when you hear the boss do his meteor attack. The NPCs will (slowly) kill the dragons themselves, and they are blocked from moving closer to you by the NPCs, so cannot attack you at all (even though they are aggro'd to you). This might be a handy tip for any lower(ish) levels trying to complete this part of the quest.

Just finished DS2 following this guide and unlocked my quest cape for the first time! A goal I thought would be unobtainable back in 2008 is finally achieved.

For anyone doing this post-Shayzien rework, Amelia is in the south eastern building south of the range shop and the crypts are still directly west. Also, rune and addy dragons are weak to magic so a powered stave might be a huge help.

If you have trouble with Vorkath, try praying range instead of magic. The anti dragon fire shield + anti dragonfire potion makes you immune from his magic attacks. As an ironman with a rune crossbow, ruby and diamond bolts this was a GAMECHANGER. I died 4 times whilst praying magic, got him on my first try with range. Also, use ruby bolts until he has about 200 hitpoints left, then switch to diamond.

Tip for low combat /ironmen doing this quest : Hiding under adamant dragons and rune dragons and letting the guards kill them all you do is dodge galveks fire ball, died 3 times before i did that, galvek on first try lol

I just finished this and grabbed my QC, but I'm writing this in hopes that it helps someone. My gear was relatively pricey (around 22m) and I had to sell my bank, but I found it well worth the investment. My stats are 78 range, 80 def, 70 pray, 85 hp. By all means a med-level account. Gear: Elite void range, accumulator, dragon crossbow, anti-dragon shield, bandos d'hide, and archers ring. For my bolts I used ruby dragon bolts(e) until Galvek had 150 hp left, then I used diamond dragon bolts(e). I also started the fight out with two BGS specs (and BGS is around half the cost of the gear and is not needed). Inventory: 1 bastion potion 1 extended super antifire, 1 stamina potion, 3 super restore potions, 6 saradomin brews. Rest is food - I used dark crabs. --- Strategy: Set quick-prayers to protect from range and eagle eye. Start at a bank, and sip one dose of bastion, extended superantifire and overheal using an anglerfish. This is so you don't have to worry about sipping these at the start of the fight. Get yourself to Relekka (I used a house tely to Lunar Isle, talked to the banker without a seal and got kicked to Relekka). Turn on protect from magic & eagle eye, run up to Galvek and spec him twice with the BGS. If it hits, continue, if not, teleport back and try again. Manually pray range the first phase and try to stay calm. During the second phase, drink your stamina whenever your run energy gets low, so you'll be able to dodge the fireballs by a good margin. During the third phase, stay in the middle, line up in the space between the waves and run towards it. You should never stop moving here, as a badly timed fireball can oneshot you. Movement comes first. Healing, prayer and potions comes second. DPS comes third. For med levels, your ruby bolts hitting is kinda RNG so you just have to find a session where it works out. For me it took around 12 tries to get a few good ruby bolt specs in, and that's where I killed Galvek, by a decent margin.

I love your videos for SO many reasons. First of all, they are always the best quides out there. You are my first option for every quests and i recommend you to everyone who needs help with quests. Also what makes your videos so nice to watch is that you make me laugh and have fun doing quests. AND I HATE QUESTING!!!! So it says a lot. Compared to other quides you have no problem in showing where you makes mistakes etc. With every youtuber out there being "perfect" in their videos, it is so fantastic to see that there are elites that also can make mistakes. For people with low defensive stats/gear. i found that verac's set works great against the 2nd boss (robert the strong) since the flail is a crush weapon and the set has a chance to ignore all defences.

Well just finished the quest.. after 10 tries I finally managed to kill Galvek. I found Vanstrom Klause a harder boss to beat mechanics wise, but this damn fire ball in combo with the waves was unlucky. Only got song of the elves & secrets of the north as my last two quests. I want to thank you Slayermusiq for the whole journey thus far, as a fellow dutchy it's been so enjoyable to listen to you. That damn accent haha! Thanks so much man, much love.

Don't bring normal food to Vorkath if you're a noob like me. I did 3 tries with anglers and karambwan with no luck, so I bought like 13 Saradomin brews and 6 Super restores, and I did it easily. I had the same setup as Slayer, but I brought my Avas device, and Ruby bolts E to spec vorkath the first few times, and once he hit half health I used normal runite bolts. Hope this helps someone
