In the penultimate part of our Osseointegration video series we re-join Catherine and Roger as they begin their post-surgery rehabilitation and they share their excitement for the new possibilities that lie ahead.
Osseointegration (OI), is a pioneering procedure that involves fitting a titanium implant directly into the bone, allowing for a prosthesis to be connected to it. Dorset Orthopaedic, together with Relimb (based out of the Private Patient Unit at the Royal Free Hospital, London) set up the first civilian OI service for private patients in the UK in 2018 and are the market leaders in providing this innovative surgical procedure and rehabilitation service.
