We rejoin Catherine five months post-surgery back in the clinic completing her final week of residential rehabilitation. Life without a socket for Catherine is now much sweeter, she has gained confidence and is almost back to her pre-accident level of activity.
Osseointegration (OI), is a pioneering procedure that involves fitting a titanium implant directly into the bone, allowing for a prosthesis to be connected to it.
