The new Peugeot 308 Hatchback is a stylish and comfortable hatchback that represents a bit of a left-field choice in the family car sector.
The likes of the VW Golf and the Ford Focus sell well in this market, which means the 308 has got to be a bit special if it’s to be a viable alternative. One of its standout features is its handsome good looks. Chrome details and LED daytime running lights give it a bit of an edge, while the cabin is equally impressive to look at. The car is also practical and could be an interesting choice if you don’t want to go of the same old same old, but still want quality.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply I picked the 308 for its comfortable ride quality it’s fuel efficiency and also I think for what you pay you get lot of car for the money. And compared to the previous generation of 308 I feel it’s a lot more stylish and more appealing to younger drivers and for me personally I’ve always preferred Peugeot over most brands as I’ve always been a fan of their hot hatch’s and racing/rally history

I'm thinking about getting a 2015-16 308 1.6 Blue HDI Allure but have never owned a Peugeot. It'll have to be automatic transmission due to my injured foot. How reliable is the automatic transmission and does the panaramic roofing close for blocking intense sunlight?

Hi mate.I have 308 bluehdi 2018 automatic for almost 3 months.I am pretty pleased with it.I had seat leon, Vw Golf and Renault Megane.All last generation. I sold them because they all had poor automatic transmissions which tend to have failures. If you want a decent car with reliable automatic tranny 308 is the car you are looking for.It's auto is made by Aisin Seiki that manufactures most reliable transmission on earth. But I strongly recommend you to buy eat8 in place of eat6. Eat8 is 8 speed Eat 6 is 6 speed.

@@kanchello excellent reply. Thanks mate I really appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll be giving a 308 a test drive fairly soon. All the Uber drivers that use the 308 also love it. Plus I love that panaramic roof 👍🏼

@@mdtaylor2274 Btw 308 has one of the best panaromic sunroof on the market.You cannot open it tough.But it has electric assisted curtain which blocks most of the sunlights if you need to. I am not a sunroof guy.On rough surfaces every sunroof tends to make silly sounds.I would not recommend it if you drive your car in a bad conditioned roads.

I have a 2016 2.0 litre Hi automatic Allure hatchback which I have been driving for 2 years now. The car has just under 20,000 miles covered and has not missed a beat. There has been no reliability issues with the car although fuel economy in mixed driving has been lower than claimed at around 43 mpg and which is still okay. Good performance and a nice combination of comfortable ride and handling make the car a real pleasure to drive. I would prefer manual heating controls but let's face it alot of cars now have the touchscreen and haven't had any problems reading the speedo which some mention.The guy in the video has given an honest review of the car and I agree with him totally regarding rear space and the boot size. Finally the Eat6 gearbox should be sound. I've had no issues although in city driving it changes quickly up to 4th which I feel causes the engine to labour a bit. Apart from that it's a lovely gearbox changing otherwise when required. Finally the gearbox should be reliable as it's manufacturer by Aisin which is a Japanese company part owned by Toyota and world leaders in automatics.

So you say there isn't much room in the back then go on to ask why the boot space is so big... doesnt take an expert to tell you
