They fit this beautiful song into Gatsby perfectly! (The band playing hip-hop at Gatsby's parties not so much. Anachronistic music in a period film can be very distracting and deflating of our suspended disbelief. It was called the "Jazz Era" for a reason and it wasn't because they were listening to hip-hop then) Sorry, just another grumpy old man on the internet ;-)

about the tears, In the trópico film she has them because it is very common seeing people on the latino culture with teardrops tattoed under the eye, it sometimes means when a friend dies and it's like a representation of that sadness and respect for the person who died. And in this video I think she just did it with a aesthetical reason, I don't think it represents something deeper.
