Carnival corpse I feel is over the top for the sake of it. It's sort of like human centipede - yeah the shock value is there but no substance. Otep writes meaningful dark lyrics

A lot of ppl miss the whole idea of Otep.Yes she is an amazing musician but more then that she lyricaly and poetically captures raw emotions that most of us wont even allow ourselves to feel...the captures them then spits them out and in so doing is free of them.Amazing Musician all around.

OTEP is one of the all time best metal head bands out there with a female lead singer. Only other band that comes to the top of my head other then OTEP is In This Moment both have incredible voices and very nice to look at :)
