Just to defuse confusion, the monk's tardis disguised as an alter.

One TARDIS type you did miss was the "SIDRAT" (Space and Inter-Dimensional Robot All purpose Transport) which only appeared in the second Doctor's final story "The War Games". The SIDRAT's were a very primitive version of a TARDIS provided to the War Lords by the renegade Time-Lord going by the title "The War Chief". They were Dimensionally Transcendental like the Doctor's but had no Chameleon circuit and just looked like a large Green box with a sliding door on the front. (A default un-chameleon-ized form for a TARDIS exterior of the era.) Inside the SIDRAT's were large rooms where hypnotized soldiers were kept waiting for deployment to Battle zones connected by sort of corridors with hanging plastic curtains bearing a hexagonal design. There was no console room apparent, as the SIDRAT's were remote controlled from the War Lord's control complex. There was a tiny control panel on one wall that the Doctor uses to hijack one later in the story. The SIDRAT's also had a limited lifespan, probably so the War Chief could leave the "War Lords" without any usable Time-Space machines when his deal with them was done. I recall Fiona Cumming, director of _Planet of Fire_ , saying that the walls of the Master's TARDIS in that episode were simply the panels from the Doctor's TARDIS sprayed black. Working to a tight budget can sometimes yield decent results!

Professor Chronotis left waaaay before the Doctor, and his TARDIS was ancient by his standards. Saved it from a scrapheap, so it isn't surprising it isn't quite as dimensionally transcendental and has a way more primative interface.

I'm not sure how canon Gareth Roberts' novelization of the Shada story is, but in the novel Professor Chronotis' TARDIS is said to be a truly ancient Type 12 that he literally saved from the scrap heap. Given that it is a much, much earlier version of the TARDIS than the Type 40 "Police Box" TARDIS, I would have expected it to have very different controls. As for the interior, well, there's nothing to say the Chameleon circuit can't do the interior as well as the exterior. The whole point of the Chameleon circuit is to "blend in" with the surroundings and given that Professor Chronotis is actually hiding out at Cambridge University, having the Chameleon circuit redesign the interior to look like a Cambridge don's study makes sense. Also (not shown in the bits of the original story that they managed to film but described in the novel), there is a clock under a dome on the mantelpiece that goes up and down under its glass dome when the TARDIS in in flight. That would be the Time Rotor. As for the roundels on the walls, they might actually be there behind all of the books and bookcases! Lastly, it's pretty subtle, but the exterior part of the university that consists of the TARDIS seems to be at least a bit smaller than the interior. The outside looks like a small annex to the main building, but the interior has a large (cluttered) main room, a kitchen, a bedroom (not seen but mentioned) and possibly other rooms as well. So as in all of the various TARDIS forms, it IS bigger on the inside but less so than the Type 40.

I love the Hell Bent TARDIS. It proves that the Classic design can still work today.

If the roundels were white, Missys console wouldve suited Capaldi. Imagine the reaction if we got that at the end of Deep Breath.

You definitely should look into some of the Big Finish ones too, ones like The Clocksmith's TARDIS, the War Master's TARDIS and others are really cool looking.

Omega's name is pronounced AHM eh ga. I liked the fact it wasn't pronounced the way you'd expect. (The Doctor's pronunciation was consistent in Classic Who.) My thinking about Tardises: Tardises are living machines. This has been stated innumerable times throughout Classic & current Dr Who. The chameleon effect extends inside as well, as the Tardis generates new control rooms, & has even been known to periodically rearrange its corridors & rooms (classic Who), resulting in long-term traveling companions like Adric getting lost. Since we saw the silver cylinder exterior repeated in the new Who episode where Claire flung herself into the time vortex to save the Doctor's life; as well as seeing a control room reminiscent of the first Doctor's in the Tardis that the Doctor & Claire stole, it's reasonable that these are the default, factory manufactured exterior & interior forms. As a telepathic living machine, a Tardis bonds with its crew. Periodic control room changes would reflect the changing personalities & interests of its primary resident, be it the Doctor, the Master, the Rani, or anyone else.

The Meddling Monk Tardis WAS the Hartnell set. To make it slightly different, the console was raised on a plinth.

Missy has 2 TARDISes. The one that was use in the events of Series 8 to gather all the souls of the dead humans (pictured) and an experimental War Model (that she named Mark because it was an experimental Mark) she stole in one of her Big Finish adventures. It was terrified of her because she flew it once during the war.

Missys tardis is Cannon it was mentioned a few times in the cannon book Missy Chronicles, the keeper of traken tardis was actually the Melkur and the Monks Tardis and the hell bent tardis was identical to the hartnell tardis, the monks was actually bigger and the console was on a mini plinth, and the hell bent tardis was the an adventure in space and time set just repainted white

Professor chonotis's TARDIS is ment the blend in, he is a professor in the collage and a retired timelord and also SPOILER!!! He is saliavin and can not have a TARDIS when retired so the only way of not being suspicious was to planely live in his TARDIS. Also its a type 12 TARDIS which is ace so he has to keep himself a secret. I would have put it as 1 or 2 in my list cause it doesn't look like a TARDIS on the outside but is defiantly one, and the hidden panel is really cool and I just really like professor cronotis and the story SHADA

My No 1 other TARDISes is The Rani's TARDIS from the Mark of The Rani. The interior looks great and the time rotor is amazing. I also loved the Hell Bent TARDIS too

The Junk Yard TARDIS came from A Blue Peter competition. And it was the second time Blue Peter had done something with Doctor Who. The first time was with the 10th Doctor. It was A bad guy. The last one was in Deep Breath for the Doctor friends and the first time we saw the 12th Doctor.

Don't forget the SIDRATs from The War Games. They were technically inferior to TARDISs but they were built from the same technology by The War Chief

Chronotis' TARDIS is very old so the chameleon effect extends inward too. The exterior is a door. The building stays put. The rotor is a not the central column. Sometimes it's in the central column. Sometimes it isn't. Hellbent is great 😛

The BBC has no official canon policy for Doctor Who. And long may that continue!

I would have loved the Chronotis TARDIS if there were one or two roundels and a console that came out of the ground as the contrast between study room and spaceship would have looked gorgeous.

I feel that the Professor Chronotis Tardis should have had a console and time rotor in another room. I would have had a full length window looking out over the university grounds, but when the window was opened you find yourself in the console room.

Honestly, I don't think the Junk TARDIS looks as messy as it should do. The walls are all the same colour and the base of the console fits perfectly with the floor. Also, can you do a video on EU TARDIS designs? (the EU is canon too! #JusticeForTheWiderWhoniverse)

To be fair... Profession Chronotis's TARDIS was a Type 1.... the Doctors was a Type 40.... there were 40 generations between the room generating panel to what the Doctor has.... it's not a room in an old building... that is how it's chameleon circuit works... it creates a room around the Time panel, as an extension to whatever building the pilot lands at.

Professor Chronotis' TARDIS is a type 12. The hexagonal console wasn't incorporated into this types design.

I always liked the two-ring optical illusion time rotor from the Rani's TARDIS. In part the simplicity and in part the fact that it was something I could conceivably build without too much difficulty - because I so wanted to build my own TARDIS console.

Well we have some new TARDISes from Series 12, so these can be added into the Doctor and Misc. lists

There's not a visual for the Time Station in Neverland but I always imagined the control room looked like a wood panelled Cape Canaveral and with Time Lords manning the stations.

Tbh for my 1st and 2nd ints I would put the time monster master's 1st and then missy's 2nd because they both have the same metal rotor which I love but epic vid

I like all the TARDISes in some way or an other but my absolute favourite isn't actually canon unfortunately, but if you've seen Rowan Atkinson's charity video of his as the Doctor I quite enjoyed that very basic TARDIS he used in it.

The Ainley TARDIS room was first only a throne with a scanner view screen. Pretty much a torture chamber. From Planet of Fire- The Ultimate Evil The Master got a black version of the Doctor’s room. It worked.
