I wish it was longer. This interview was so good. It's so refreshing to hear artist's insights and perspectives. It's an open door to understanding them and their work and renews appreciation for the arts. It's interesting the process they went through when forced to do something their heart wasn't in it, they did it well bc the rest of the world didn't even notice bc they had us dancing. it's interesting they wouldn't let them do more organic "Life as a fish" type of records. They had already laid that path early with Fly Or Die. Label's stay killin the fun mannn.

Perfect Defect was cool, and yes we finally got the answer why they wasn’t invested. The difference and direction in Seeing Sounds and Nothing. Makes sense after this interview.

I hated Nothing so bad when I bought it I ranted about it online, before the gems on it made me appreciate it in it's own space. Hearing this let's me know why I felt what I felt. Any fan of Pharrell knows that bridges are their Thing, the best part of music...and Nothing had not a single bridge on any track. That's what bothered me the very most cause like them the bridge is my favorite thing in music too. I've Seen The Light, Life as a Fish, Inside of Clouds, and Perfect Defect were still some of their best songs to date though(God Bless Us All is good too), that speaks to their talent even when uninspired. N.E.R.D. is (still) my favorite and has been since In Search Of... Came out way back when and "Lapdance" was finding it's way inside all those movie soundtracks. I'm so glad to hear "the band is back together" and new album on the way! Star Trak forever!🖖 "Phoom-phoom"

Im glad they talked about Nothing the album. Cause half the songs were ehh..some were good and a few were jewels. Victory is still one of my favorite songs from that album. So im glad they pushed through cause that album produced some of their best work

Pharrell is the only one who actually likes to do interviews. They chime in but they never liked the questionare part of the business. Especially Chad he rarely saids Much i wish he did. But they were asked this question alot of times why pharrell talks the most. And it really is Pharrell is just the more vocal of the three. Shay is talking alil more...but they are more like "i just wanna perform and create" type of artist. If they didnt have to do interviews trust and believe they wouldnt.

Now it makes sense. I knew that the "Nothing" Wasn't them at their best. Something about it was just so bland. It was such a uninspiring album, compared to their previous albums. Glad they explained the reasons why👍

Interesting, because I enjoyed Nothing even though I didn't gravitate towards it like the other LPs. By default it is their worst album but that's not saying much considering the quality of the previous albums. "Sooner or Later" still my fave song by them👍

The Black Baron Not only is lemon a bad song but almost that whole album, the biggest problem, is that the whole album is a political statement, it’s politically incorrect and annoying, that ruined getting hyped with this album
