This explanation would make sense of why he didn't hear the "man" coming up behind them. I wonder if this being could have intentionally saved Frank, though? As in, maybe it was keeping an eye on her and interrupted to stop her from doing something sinister?

Frank shouldn’t feel bad about not recalling the details. He was under an enchantment spell drawn in by her green eyes. The black dog like thing in the water was probably the motor bike guy who was a shapeshifter. I feel Frank broke the spell when he raised the subject of the summer solstice and that’s why she got angry. Frank probably got out of a tricky dangerous situation. It would be good for Frank to find a professional regression therapist to see if he can uncover more details. Thank you for sharing this unique and rare experience. I enjoy this channel!

What an eerie anecdote this is, and one of my faves so far on this channel. Btw, there's been a spate of mature women in the UK ending up deceased in rivers. Nicola Bulley was one example. I wonder what really happens to these unfortunate souls :(

Excellent as always, Jo. You seem to know the exact questions to ask to bring forth more insight. My husband fishes a local river with a local legend attached. The ancients worshipped a deity that lived in the river and gave a human sacrifice every few years. Now no one worships that goddess but she still takes her blood sacrifices and every seven years a human life will be lost. Recently a young man went missing while fishing and was found drowned in there. I wondered about it when i saw the news Btw i heard it happened close to a bridge and the river spirit has also something to do with a nearby well.

I'm looking at the place on Google Maps and it looks frankly sinister in the photos! I don't suppose it would in nice summer sunshine though. A good story indeed. It's so bizarre to imagine that in the middle of the thickly populated, built-up South East, on the very fringes of London, there could be encounters with the paranormal in broad daylight.

It's an interesting area with a lot of history. I had read that up until Victorian times you could still see the remains of the stakes that the ancient Britons had pushed into the river bed (at Corway Stakes) in an attempt to stop the Romans crossing. Alas, I couldn't see them. Walton Church is worth a visit. It boasts a replica of an old "scold's bridle". The original was stolen sometime in the last century. Sadly, no fairy sighting, but I live in hope...@@themodernfairysightingspod8421

Hi Jo very interesting piece as usual 👍 Encounters with the Faye can be very tricky indeed. Having listened to Frank's fascinating account, it seems to me that rather than Frank stepping into an enchanted realm, the enchanted realm stepped into him. With alot of these type of encounters the participants state of mind, Outlook on life, memories, desires etc all get mixed up with a powerful sentient intelligence ie the Faye ? So in Frank's sort of waking dream it was not surprising that he met a girl because that is why he and his friend wanted to meet up there for in the first place ? Although she was something other. So alot of Frank's thoughts and anticipation for that day were sort of hi jacked into a waking dream/enchantment and made into a staged show for some reason only the Faye would know ?

@themodernfairysightingspod8421 3 ай бұрын

Thankyou. This is very interesting, and it correlates quite well with the Missing 411's many disappearances near water. I feel that there may be some time slippage during this event, and that the environment this encounter took place in was tightly controlled, with the gloomy weather and absence of other people and vehicles. Your guest's change in thinking could have been prompted by 'mind speak'...a phenomena where thoughts appear in your head, but that aren't your own, yet frequently sound like your usual inner voice. The loud splash could have been the 'dog' entering the water...was this dog a 'Dogman'?...who was not meant to have been seen by the teenager who previously had been hidden in a tree? Scenes are set by scanning the area beforehand to ensure there are no stray witnesses...the players in this drama can be forgiven for not looking for people in trees 😉. The attractive woman drew your guest away from the water, charming him until the arrival of the man in black, when the mood changed. Her behaviour changed, because she wanted your guest to leave the area, and not look back. The bright flash of light can affect the visual cortex, and prompt time loss for the witness. I think the memory of this event stays with him, because of its strangeness, and possibly because there are still gaps in his memory.

There have been recent events that could shed light on young men in particular going missing in or near water. There appears to be criminal gangs who are spiking drinks of targeted individuals in bars, with the aim of robbing them when they become incoherent. The accounts of people having survived the 'tampering' with drinks are quite awful, with pain, visual distortion, dizziness, nausea, sweating and they report not being able to recognise their environment. In Austin, Texas there have been arrests relating to drownings due to this, and victims have been linked to 2 bars in particular. I strongly suspect that this activity has been linked to dozens of water deaths in Manchester in particular...time will tell?

Thank you for your insightful comments. Yes he had thought the splash was the dog entering the water. Can you explain further what you mean about him being in the tree though? And about setting the scene and the bright flash of light? I agree the lack of cars (which was notably strange) as well as his real sense that she was otherworldly is important. I feel we need to listen to the experiencer when they state their ‘knowingness’. It strikes deep.

@@themodernfairysightingspod8421 Yes, I agree that Frank had a genuinely strange experience, but I wonder if he stumbled upon some kind of 'operation' that was secretive, and in an environment that the people/beings concerned thought they had 'under control'. If they had surveyed the area before commencing, they may have been unaware of Frank's presence, because they missed him in the tree. I contend that cryptids (Bigfoot, Dogman, Mothman etc.) are charged with the responsibility of securing certain 'areas of interest '... frightening people away from an area of research for example, or from an area that is temporarily a risk to their health and so on. Witnessing a 'black op' may be one of the causal factors in the Missing 411 IMHO... it's just a thought. So, I'm thinking Frank was at risk in the same way? The flash of light is possibly the same as was used in the 'Men in Black' films...not fiction, but a real possibility. Military science is so much more advanced than we can know? 🤔 Infrasound has the capacity to induce feelings of fear and dread, as can electromagnetic frequencies. I believe that the paranormal splits into 2 categories...truly otherworldly phenomena, and very clever smoke and mirrors trickery, aided by 'secret science'. An example would be an invention by Woody Norris of 'directed sound waves' where one person is targeted with a sound that nobody else can hear, even if they're stood next to the 'victim'. How unnerving would it be to hear something sinister, that nobody else in the room can? I'm a mine of information 😎...but the platform we're on often makes my comments disappear, you know 🤫 As a last point, I have seen some amazing contact lenses that can have anything you want printed into them...humans can have cat's eyes, reptilians, black eyes, bright/glowing colours, including green.
