Beyond the standalone tool, we will work with Ahmet to get the WC nodes planned for Octane core to work nicely in C4D, same as with EmbergenFX

So after getting everything installed and testing, it was exciting. Then, I realized this is some sort of "lite" version, as you can't export any maps, just an orbx. I tried to unpack in octane standalone, but it doesn't seem like all the maps were included. Is this accurate or am I missing an important step?

Yeah. I just learned that too. It can only export orbx files. So I can't really use it in C4D. I never use Octane standalone. So it is of little use for me sadly.

I have an Octane Subscription for Cinema4d but I can't find anyway to test World Creator, right now the lack of clear instructions on how to test this is frustrating.

Really love all the new things Octane keeps doing, I just hope one day to see the stability be comparable to Redshift. It's disheartening/frustrating that Octane is still know as unstable in the industry and for many of it users. It's a dang good renderer and would love for it to be the best in the market.

2020 is very stable on latest studio drivers, but we are working to harden it even more!

"Very stable"- octane is like buying a car which crashes at full speed only sometimes. It crashes during production around 8 times a day. You have to restart Cinema4D more than you can work with it. When i switched to Redshift3d Octane was also crashing Cinema even if i was not working with it. How can you release a car that crashes "only sometimes" and tell people to inform themselves on Facebook and Nvidia how to get the missing wheel? Pardon me, but i don't get it.

@@matthiasz2338 What we have seen on systems with no crashes for weeks or more at a time is that the drivers and other things (such as OC) can make or break stability. crashing multiple times a day is not normal, or expected. What version of Octane and what drivers were you using when you had these crashes?

@@julesurbach9521 we had several combinations, but none worked out. The only combination which worked "stabel" was Octane 3.07R2 with NVIDIA Treiber 382.53. Which one do you recommend for a stable production? Which GPU and Studio Driver Version do you recommend?

OTOY super awesome. Please fix the instructions for the installation in Unity because is impossible to make it work. And as a game developer we know that one day we will use Octane as a real-time rendering of owner game! But we need first to get use to it. Thanks for the passion you personally put in.

it’s going to be included for about a month in all octane 2020 subs for free (just as EmbergenFX is now), and then when that offer ends it will be available as part of a new octane sub option for those that opt in to continue using it.

The bundle is great, but it's a shame that you can't get this bundle with the option of monthly payments, you need to afford a whole year up front. This cuts out those of us who are learning and experimenting with the tools. Also, as an amateur/freelancer, I don't need enterprise network rendering, but I do need the bundle. How about a 2GPU bundle option? Surely I'm not the only one in that market segment.

Is Octane still crashing that often during production? Which version do you recommend for stable production? We are also interested, why RTX 3080 Cards are not supported for older versions.

Octane 2020.15 is the most stable version we have released to date and it works fine on 3080 (AI denoiser needs 2020.2 version coming this month). Use the latest studio drivers and check the FB group for valuable tips on staying up to date on everything

If I already own Octane and World Creator will I be charged extra to simply use it via Octane plugin? Or will it recognize my valid licenses? If not then I'm fine keeping them separate.
