March, 2023 GTC presentation by Jules Urbach:
Join Jules Urbach as he presents his vision for the future of GPU- and AI-driven rendering and how it will impact gaming, visual effects, media, design, and art into the 2030s and beyond. He'll discuss the roadmap for OctaneRender and The Render Network, the industry’s first blockchain-distributed GPU rendering network and 3D marketplace. Jules will also detail how the future of media lies in holographic, AI, light field technologies, and real-time rendering, and how OTOY is working to help drive that future through OctaneRender, Brigade, and The Render Network.

Just want to say as a normie, I watched the entire presentation, learned a lot. This is revolutionary stuff. What you guys have done to bring Spock to life, in his prime and across multiple timelines gave me goose bumps, I watched the various videos dozens of times in the past week or so. (you guys have been so low key about this work!) I am not one to get excited about much, especially modern movies/shows, I feel major studios have really been wallowing in dead ends. What you are you doing here is a revolution in film making and entertainment. Seeing Spock is more impactful than seeing Jurassic Park for the first time, easily. The possibilities are breath taking. As awesome as the 3-D rendering of the Enterprise is, seeing Spock, virtually perfect looking, is awe inspiring because of that human connection. I don't know how far behind voice rendering is but I suspect you're all over that. I can't wait to see what more is coming, I still feel like this hasn't properly 'blown up' in the entertainment and tech news spheres.

Hi there - wanted to ask, if there's any schedule on when the first Houdini-version will be released? Lot of great stuff there but really looking forward to those analytic lights - that has been the thing that bugged me the most in the past, that some lights were just close to impossible to get clean. Cheers and keep up the great work! :)

I wondered the same, except the Roddenberry Archive is actually in collaboration with the Roddenberry Estate, the family itself, which I don't think CBS would work *against* if they know what's good for them. From the archive site's about panel, "© 2023 OTOY, Inc., certain materials are © 2023 OTOY, Inc. and Roddenberry Entertainment Inc. Copyrights and trademarks relating to the Star Trek property belong to CBS Studios, Inc." Seems like it's all on the level.

This is why I'm concerned about creating technology for technology's sake, just cus we can does't mean we should. Like what's the point in holographic displays? If it makes life more confusing, and blurs the lines between reality and simulation, I'm not sure I want to be around that. There's already way too many distractions out there.

If not FBX then what universal exchange format??? If I am wrong please let me know but I just subscribed assuming that was a capability as all other renderers let you do this bake materials etc...
