This was fascinating. I don't want to leave a long comment here but Japanese culture when it comes to perfume and fragrance is totally different to the West. There are some great videos online where Japanese people do their best to explain the attitude in their country towards obnoxious fragrance on tourist bodies...brutal but honest and necessary to share. The swarming crowds are MUCH more peaceful than other countries because of the consideration people have there for all the strangers around them: they're generally quiet and don't douse themselves in fragrance before leaving the house so the 'psychic airspace' around you remains calm and nowhere near as oppressive and congested as it could otherwise be. It's a beautiful thing. I go to Parfum Satori's atelier in Roppongi to buy fragrance and the experience really is something else; you wear slippers and sit at a big wooden table drinking tea and going through the fragrances at your leisure. Highly recommend. The fragrances are veil-like, very gentle and stay close to the body. Sitting on a Shinkansen and reading: you don't even need to look up from your book-- you can smell the tourists before you see them ;D Also, Japanese incense is NOTHING like the bong shop-teen bedroom smell. Highly recommend Shoyeido in Ginza. Beautiful, high quality and perfect as gifts to bring back too. :)

If Mizu smells like "Muji" shop then most probably i will like it 😍

The official Shinma website does indeed list Tsuki as having raspberry accords, but the way you describe the fruit note makes it sound like a more typical oriental scent such as mangosteen, lychee, plum or persimmon.

Never heard of this brand before, thank you for introducing! From your description I am interested in smelling all of them but in particular Hana(花) and Tsuki(月). Pornstar martini with tuberose and lotus notes sounds lovely. I wanted to be interested in Yuki(雪) as it's cool to have fragrance of my own name, alas lavender isn't my thing. Btw you are not butchering Japanese words, and I am impressed with your interest and knowledge in Japanese culture(such as Zukoh which I didn't know). Komorebi(木漏れ日)also got me interested!

I just think Japanese fragrances are boring because the Japanese culture is more into environmental scents for rooms than perfumes. Anything stronger than a skin scent is discouraged.
