Our Awesome Home Theatre Demo Room Tour. A room to die for!
First of all, as Enzo said because we have been so busy this video is a bit delayed and the room no longer exists...BUT a new room (and studio :-) ) is on the way.
For this that experienced it this room was stunning the sound and picture was about as good as it gets and blew a lot if industry experts away.
So here, Enzo takes us on a tour of the incredible 5000 lumen, 24 channel immersive experience room. Wait till you see what's in this room! The look and sound of it was incredible and the next room will be even more so.
This room was built not so much perhaps for aesthetics (you can't see much of the room when the lights go down :-) but its all about sound and image quality. It was also our "R&D and testing room" so its not necessarily always perfect.
Whats in this room?
Projector Barco Balder native Cinemascope !
Lumagen Radiance Pro 4242
LCR speakers - Procella P28
Surround Speakers - Procella P6V
Atmos Speakers - Procella P5 on swivel mounts
Subwoofers 4 x REL Predators
Processor Storm Audio ISP24 Mk II AND OR Trinnov Altitude 16
Amplifiers LCR - Anthem M1 - 1000 watts into 8 ohms :-) one for each LCR speaker!
Amplifiers for the rest 3 x Anthem MCA 525 5 channels 225 Watts into 8 ohms

Very nice room! Is it Perf of Microperf screen? Having any issues seeing the holds from the front row? How far back from LCR speakers to the back of the screen? Thx ☺️

Nice home theater room and gear. Love your amps. Purely Canadian, made and manufactures in Canada. You should try Bryston amps to, you will be please if you do. Love Anthem and Paradigm products.

You mentioned that you had both Storm and Trinnov. How do you find they differ and the same. If you just just wanted to listen to some 2 Channel content, a CD for instance, along using just the two mains, which product would you recommend?

What bracket is used to mount the bookshelves to the ceiling? Looking to do something similar
@HomeTheatreEngineering
@HomeTheatreEngineering 3 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to check on the exact details but these clever little speakers are fitted with standard tv vesa mounts on the back. So any tv swivel bracket will work !

curious as to why the kaleidescape isn't available in Australia anymore?
@HomeTheatreEngineering
@HomeTheatreEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a distribution rights issue. It was never really “legal” in Australia and always needed a VPN to access the store etc. Kaleidescape has new owners and they are working on a release for Aus in the very near future…

I wouldn't stack those amplifiers like that. They need room to breathe with either passive or active cooling measures.
@HomeTheatreEngineering
@HomeTheatreEngineering 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. Actually those amps and their heat management easily allows for them to be stacked. We also carefully check temperatures and ensure airflow as part of our design. But yes this is something that needs to be remembered.

Neat looking room guys, but why would you design a room and have seating on the rear wall.
@HomeTheatreEngineering
@HomeTheatreEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t those seats are over 1.5m from the rear wall. Also we have measured the audio in every seat and with 4 subs running managed all room modes. SPBIR and Boundary Gain are also well managed. The Trinnov certainly also helped. We were limited by the premises and we have since moved this cinema to our new showroom complex so this no longer exists ..

Beautiful room but why cheap out on under powered 15” subs?
@HomeTheatreEngineering
@HomeTheatreEngineering 3 жыл бұрын
Hi I would be interested to hear what you think this room would need over and above 4 x REL Predators. We had more than enough SPL and extremely balanced bass in every seat. More is not always best and massive subs are much harder to tame.
@pt9366
@pt9366 3 жыл бұрын
@@HomeTheatreEngineering Had 2 of these subs and they struggled with anything below 20hz. Went with a paradigm Sub2 the difference was shocking. I would recommend one paradigm sub 1 or two sub 1s for a room that size.

@@HomeTheatreEngineering start off with yourself as you did (very nice). Who, what, when, where. Then cut to why and how with shots of the gear. Same video, more shots of “what” you are talking about. It will keep the viewer watching longer. Change the shot every 3 seconds (even if cutting back to you). Verify my theory by looking at your KZfaq stats. See the average viewing time. Good luck bro!! (35 years in the game)

Class D amps - not what they use to be
@HomeTheatreEngineering

Would you like to clarify that statement? What are you specifically referring to? Which amps and what decline in performance? Why were they better then and not now?
@DuzBee
@DuzBee 3 жыл бұрын
The advancement in class D amps, technology and how they fit with in social acceptance, all positive. A time not long ago it was A then A/B with people turning their nose up at D. Now people understand you can get fidelity from Class D - all positive.

Joseph Aznaran Hi this was recorded with sennheiser MKH 416 onto a Zoom H5 the issue is I was unable to ride levels when Enzo gets suddenly close and we don’t have time to reshoot. Sone declipping applied in post but that’s all we have time for. Thanks for commenting we are always working to try to improve things.
