Your video convinced me. I am unathletic and not a lightweight, live in an area with many long and steep hills, so unfortunately the great Fafrees were ruled out for me, as they are all quite weakly motorized. So I'm really thrilled with the power and torque of the i7 pro v2!

This looks to be a very nice Fat Tyre E-Bike at a very attractive price. I have had a bike very similar to this for around 4 years now, it's a good bike with one or two negatives. I like to ride along canal tow paths, and on tow paths which have ruts made in them made by many bikes traveling along them. The ruts tend to act like tram lines, and the small wheels get stuck in the ruts and I have been thrown off the bike on more than one occasion. I have never had this happen with my bike with 26 inch fat tyres. I have also had the battery lock get jammed up with grit from mud being thrown up from the front wheel, and then had to remove the lock from the battery and clean it out.

Hey mate! Thank you so much for all your amazing reviews! I've literally been glued to your channel for the past week or two, trying to decide on my first purchase. I'm looking for a folding bike with a good range (ideally a solid 100km on low level pas), also with some good torque and power (unlockable etc), around the 1 grand price mark (give or take) and preferably pretty easy to move about when folded (and to sling in the back of the car). I've been looking at this bike, the pivy z20 max, the pivy z20 plus 1000, the ado airs, engwes! I'm really finding it hard to make a decision. I'm in my 40's, 6ft but a svelt 64kg, which presumably might help with range? If you can offer any advice, it would be much appreciated! What would you go for?

@@e-VRC have have both the 1.0 and 2.0 here and there’s not a lot in it. My second ever e-bike was the 1.0 and even though I had issues with it, it’s still to this day a great bike. Roll on 2 years, Engwe have updated the frame on both bikes, and thrown a 52v battery into that 2.0 frame, the same 23amp controller as the 1.0 and for some unknown reason it’s made the bike more nimble … it’s feels more like the X. For me, the difference that made me choose the PVY z20 Plus 1000 was the frame design. In my opinion (not expert) the PVY frame which is the same as a Mate X, has a better rear suspension design. The rear shock that PVY ships, is actually bad, but if you upgrade it I'm expecting that you will be with a more reliable bike than the Engwe's Engine Pro style frame. What is your opinion on this? Which frame design do you prefer?

Exchanging the Bafang motor for an unknown "more efficient" brand is cost-cutting on their behalf and not an upgrade for the owner unless the change of motor brings a torque sensor instead of a cadence sensor. Peak power, range and torque specs quoted for 3.0 are the same as 2.0 so where's the efficiency 🤷

@@e-VRC- Does this have a certificate of conformity? Can the throttle be disabled or removed without screwing up the controller? If the answer is 'yes' to both these queries, then this could be a road legal e-bike in Ireland, at least. It would be classed as a lower end e-moped requiring registration, motor tax and for a motorcycle helmet to be worn. I suspect the i7 can be limited to 25kph so that's covered. You could ride it in cycle lanes.

The design looks generic I wonder who is really the manufacturer of this bike? Is it rebranded?
@e-VRC
@e-VRC Ай бұрын
I think that maybe the brands purchase the body or maybe the design then add their own choice of components (which of course are made by other brands) then add their own paint job. It is generic however there are subtle differences when looking at a lot of these folding fat tyre bikes. Like there's a few different 'set styles'.

I really don't like folding ebikes.
@e-VRC
@e-VRC Ай бұрын
Fair enough. I think the only good reason for them folding is for battery access. They do save a bit of space when stored but of course a hinge most likely adds a weak point. I rarely fold these tbh.
