I moved to the EU 25 years ago. My first 5-7 years I basically lived fluidly between the US and the EU. After I had my children, I saw life was so much better here. My children now 19 and 17 are bilingual and dual citizens, and have spent extensive time in the US. They both prefer the EU and I don’t see us ever moving back to the US. No country is the land of milk and honey. Every country has its ups and downs but for us, the move and life here is amazing. Best of luck to you all.

"The 90 day rule "u can get round ( at least in theory ) by going 2 a country outside the EU example would be the UK or Morocco & then return to Spain and start the 90 days again. Christy 🇮🇪/🇵🇹 👍

And you know what’s beautiful about Europe/living in Spain is you hop on a flight for an hour or a train and you end up in another beautiful country with different culture like Italy, Portugal, France, Belgium, Swiz etc. Neighbouring countries are so close to visit ❤

I’m Australian and I went to Europe for the first time last year. I was BLOWN AWAY that it only took an hour and a half from Scotland to Norway. And in one day flew from Norway to Denmark to France. Mind BLOWN! 💗🇦🇺

Even only traveling inside Spain IS awesome. It's very climate diverse and culture food ,lots of things change in just 150km.

What an amazing company to allow you to stay employed in the US while living in Spain. Also to only work a few months a year is unbelievable. After traveling the world, I can't imagine leaving the US permanently. I wish you and your family well.

Congratulations, Ale! I moved from Norway to the U.S. when my child was very young and spoke no English. Everything went great. They're now 47. Kids are very resilient. Yours will be just fine, as long as you handle it as an adventure.

Exciting! We are going to start the process to immigrate to Spain after fulltime world traveling since 2019. We have traveled all over the world and Spain has been at the top of our favorites for so long! I can't wait to follow along! Europe in general is so special, safe, clean, great quality food, relaxed lifestyle, etc!

Congratulations on your move! We moved to Germany almost six years ago. We donated almost everything before our move. We did ship nine boxes through the post office. Once we found an apartment in Germany, we purchased new furniture. My husband is German, so the process for me was a bit different. It has been challenging for me as a non-German speaker. Trying to learn German has been a challenge, but I love living in Germany. Good luck with your new adventure!

Good luck on your new adventure!!! What a commute. My FA classmate commuted from Australia, and I do have coworkers who commute from Europe, South America, and even Africa. So it’s a big step, but can be worth it. Bless you and your family.
