OC: I don't think it's possible to be as relieved as Brian right now. Skilled as he is it had to be bout 100% chance he'd lose his shite if the engine was still not running smoothly. Also pretty sure he NEVER wants to work on another CBR 1000 ever again.

OC: shoutout here from overseas. Been following this series since and as a fellow technician i litterally know how well brian is going to sleep after all that. What a fight since the beginning of that build. I know the frustration when you done almost everything to the last spec and shit happens and the glory of everything getting sorted and finally finishing it. Kudos

I see you used yamalube gold (syn) and engine ice. Yamalube is good stuff, I've used engine ice for years, put it in my '21 mt09 and it runs about 10-12 degrees on average cooler. That's crazy for just changing your coolant.

Still absolutely don't like those "mufflers" For one, the don't muffle anything. And they are just stupidly loud. That to me has nothing to do with a "good sounding motorcycle", if my ears ring everytime i shut the bike off. In Germany, where I live, they start to BAN motorcycles to drive on certain roads AT ALL, because too much idiots have driven there with illegaly having their mufflers out and their motorcycles being WAAAAY too loud. That behavour just ruins it for all motorcylists... But it's great to see the CBR completed! Really cool what you made out of the bike!

Hey I have a 2007 CBR1000RR that I just bought. Before buying I was able to jumpstart the bike 3 times. A week later after rolling the bike literally next door I jump started the bike however it took longer than usual this time. This time the bike also pushed out black smoke and seemed to back fire. The next day the bike would not start and hasn’t started since. I took it to the local mechanic and they want to tear the engine apart and say that it’s because the engine is decompressed (120 psi). I’m wondering if that’s an accurate reading since the bike won’t start it just turns over. Where should I start with getting this bike repaired?
