Honda Engine Removal Tool - geni.us/k5xVELY
In this episode of Wrecked Bike Rebuild Garge, the guys continue the teardown process of their Streetfighter CBR 1000RR by dropping the engine out using this ONE SPECIAL TOOL that you have to have. They also take a quick look inside the engine to see if they can see any signs of what might be causing the weird engine noise.

I ran into that tool problem when I tore down my VTR1000. I was able to grind a socket down to make the tool to take my bike apart while it was apart I ordered the correct tool which is by far better than my improvised tool.

In my country (Philippines) it's called "Castle Wrench/Socket". And I've Used this dozens of times breaking the engines apart.

While Brian's explanation of pre-ignition is common - lean burning engines run hot and melt pistons; the current thinking is that lean burning is actually cooler. It is the uncontrolled pre-ignition that strips away the protective thermal boundary layer allowing combustion to melt the piston. This stuff is complicated. I thought that you might not want to perpetuate incorrect information.

Literally only thing you have to remove is the airbox and tank to get to the plugs just like any other bike. Also you didn’t even need to remove the throttle bodies to drop the motor, just remove the cables.

If you run into any issues let me know I had to rebuild mine after the dealership destroyed the head during a valve adjustment. Technically did an overhaul, since I didn't replace anything if I measured in spec. The head is essentially new though.

Could not find anything to loosen that damn engine mount adjuster when dropping engine on fz10. Literally kicked the motor out lmao. Putting it back on I unthreaded it until it was a squeeze to fit the motor back into it, torque is only like 10 in/lbs anyways 💁🏼‍♂️🤣
