Nugget, our pet Emu, did not like the larger swimming pool we recently got him, so we found our Emu a smaller kiddie Pool and this is what happened.

Lol I know right? I was thinking to myself, "What a spoiled bird!". But then I remembered all of the outrageous things I've done for my cats. I even got down on my hands and knees once and drank out of a pet drinking fountain to show one of my cats it was safe to drink from (it was brand new, though, no dirt or germs on it yet). It worked, though! She went ahead and drank from it after I showed her. The things we do to make our pets happy lol.

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU. I made boiled eggs in my insta pot. I will never make boiled eggs any other way. They were cooked perfect and they peeled so easy I couldn't believe it. I wanted to make deviled eggs instead of egg salad, because the eggs were perfect. No cracks, no chunks missing. One more time THANK YOU.

Hi there, I live in McMahons Creek Victoria Australia in the alpine national park rainforest and I really love watching your beautiful life there. We have wild Emu here but we also have king parrots which have no fear of humans and are incredibly beautiful 😻 thanks for the wonderful episodes!

Hey all, I am from the land of the Emu, Australia, although I have only really encountered them twice. I remember my first meeting was a nightmare, I was a small boy and my dad told me to feed an emu at a reserve we were visiting, I think I must have had my haircut a way it didn't like because it was more interested in attacking my head than eating out of my hand. That Emu chased me around the pen pecking at me like I was a piñata ha ha. It felt like the running of the bulls to me when he scattered the females and they ran along side me ha ha. After escaping I was made to go back about 20 minutes later, I held my hand out from afar and approached calmly, he too calmed down, and it was amazing, he sat down as we sprayed some mist water on him and all was good. They truly are remarkable, and intriguing beings, a glimpse of the past, and a reminder of the beauty and wonder of nature and animals. I still remember how much joy and laughter dad got from me running away screaming ha aha, I got him back though, the next day a frilled neck lizard chased him away from the bench when we were eating lunch ha ha. I miss dad, thanks for bringing back such a fun memory for me. Nugget is pure gold.

That sounds like an episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (old B&W sit-com) where the son Richie was being pecked by a bird for his hair, he wore a football helmet and gave the bird his hairbrush!

I love nugget he has the cutest face, and I love watching him run up and down the road like a roadrunner! When Brooke was by the sink did nugget splash her on purpose, or did she just get splashed becauae he was playing and she was there!💗

Kids always try to get mom and dad wet by splashing water but Nugget you have given a new meaning to splashing water...so much fun watching you this morning... I found out that I’m allowed to have 4 hens (no roosters) and of course, I jumped on that opportunity!!! I have 4 hens - Nelly, Cali, Parker and Piper!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY LITTLE BACKYARD FLOCK!!! I really don’t know how I survived without my GIRLS!!! All the Grandkids love them and help collect eggs. Too much fun and so sweet for all of us!!!!

Nugget really is Jurassic. I didn't realize how big his feet were until he got in his pool. His Predatorial skills are amazing. Every time you open his gate, he starts running like a roadrunner and I can only imagine him saying, "why can't I be left out at night, I need to protect the farm when the sun goes down,"! He was thanking you for getting him the purple pool by splashing water on you. Now I see why he's the Sheriff!

Yeah, emus are dead set lunatics. My first encounter was being ambushed by one in a zoo car park (Dubbo) and having my packet of chips stolen. Just about every zoo or animal park I’ve been to have had emus with attitude. 😂 They are definitely characters.

I can’t imagine walking through my yard with a bunch of grapes like that! I would be so attacked!! I’ve noticed that my birds don’t like the green grapes as well. They must be purple. I think you better go buy all the purple pools you can find and have a stock pile of them!

Brings back memories of my Grandparents Farm that was 1/4 mile from our home. Gpa was a Bee keeper and sold honey and the Grandkids would pick and sell Cherries. Gpa was also water master and after irrigation the fun began! We would all get a flashlight and hunt for nightcrawlers (worms) that we would sell too. I really miss it. ♥♥♥♥♥ Also, I had to laugh with your FFF because we have used that as well, but it stands for Forced Family Fun, lol!🤭🤣😂

Nugget know what he like lol. I wonder with the purple pool back if he will get in the other one this summer, if both are there with water in them. Hope you guys are OK after the storms. We had bad storms also. Close call with a tornado. Lots of hail. Then had a flood in the whole yard. Washed away the trash can and washed my electric poultry netting into the pond. We had trees floating down the field. Have never seen that happen here. It has flooded but nothing like today. Of course I had to get video of it lol. Barefooted on the deck standing on hail that looked like it had snowed 2 inches. Glad I got the ducks put up before all that happened. And my garden is far enough up the hill the water didn't make it up there. So as long as my ducks, chickens and garden dont float away we're good lol. Stay safe. Hugs.
