I’m proud of Kyle too! Feel free to also share Kaylie’s achievements from time to time, like in volleyball or at school. I’m sure everyone who watches is proud of her too and I want her to know that we’re interested in her successes and well-being just as much.

Hi Kelli and Kyle Reading is so much fun!!! I love children's books too Kyle like Daniel Tigger, Fancy Nancy, picture books and board books too!!! Also my favorite music is the Laurie Berkner Band! Awesome. So proud of him and his loving family. I wrote a children's book based on when I was 14 in 1982 and the girl who lived next door had her ring sucked off her finger and swallowed by one of our calves and I searched through cow poo for three days until I found her ring and returned it. It's titled "The Very Special Ring" and it would be an honor if Kyle would give it a review. I would love to send you a paperback copy or E-book. Cheers!

I love all these books I've never heard of the first one you mentioned I'm 32 and still like poems and songs and books meant for babies and little kids

I loved nonsense poems by Edward Lear when I was a child. Maybe Kyle would like them too, for the silly sounds. My favourite novel since I was a teenager has always been ‘Wuthering Heights’.

That's amazing that Kyle has excelled so much in his language learning!! What a huge accomplished, and something I'm sure your family is so proud of. What a phenomenal achievement! Regarding book suggestions for Kyle, he may enjoy I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont. There's a paperback book and a board book. It's rhyming and lots of fun, with a really good message, and you can point out things in it (she talks about liking her hair, her nose, her toes etc., making it easy to say "can you point to the hair?") And for yourself, I'd recommend Before We Were Yours. Happy reading!

Been there with an IEP until the end of high school. It’s true that local school boards have this for kids and teenagers in special education with some form of diagnosis. While it ends when a student graduates high school but there are student accommodations in college/universities. Kind of like IEP’s but a Venn diagrams exists.

Have you tried Astrid Lindgrens books? She`s à Swedish author who wrote many childrens books, Pippi Longstocking for example…

My boys like books with Repetition as well, due to their autism their attention span is very short. We would like to recommend a few books to Kyle that are our favorite bedtime stories. Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney The Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen These books have lots to choose from in the series these are just our favorites in them. I hope Kyle finds a new favorite book!
