I love your videos! Kim, that Simmer wig in that color is gorgeous on you - especially with your red lipstick! But too bad about the lack of longevity of the fibers of the HD pieces. And I totally agree about working with and or having young people in your life, it sure does keep a person current. I have young teen granddaughters who keep me up to date - it's So fun! Thank you both for this wonderfully informative video!

I like honest opinions too, but you didn’t ask for anybody’s opinion on whether they liked your lipstick so, I think it’s rude for someone to say that they don’t like your lipstick. I think it looks striking!

Wig question: Show how to use a hair filler to lighten up dark knots at the front hairline. For example, Jon Renau 12Fs8. The dark knots in the front of the wig drives me crazy but I love the blond color. I would like to thank both of you for your videos. They are very informative and helpful. I have been wearing wigs going on two years. Also please ALWAYS tell us in the beginning of your videos what wigs you are wearing. Thank you

I never got ANY night sweating during menopause. Occasional hot flashes but they only lasted under a minute. There’s hope!!!

For those of us in Europe: I just bought a Remington AS404 for just 13 euros which is also plastic. I just tested it on a secondhand wig, on the lowest setting it worked great to remove frizz from the ends

Agree on HairUWear hairspray, the only spray that truly holds, disagree on their new formulation leave-in conditioner reformulation, Restore. A shame b/c the original was weightless and left zero residue. Not so the new version. (A year or so ago, when my bottle finally wore out and I went to replace it, apparently other reviewers on Amazon agreed with my assessment. HairUWear, if you're watching, please go back to what really worked.) Going to try the other line you mentioned for texturizing as, agreed, balms only weigh fibers down and do not yield the desired hold. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes they combined their conditioner and thermal protectant. I liked having both options as well, but I still like the Restore better than most brands. :)

I love the look of the Julia wig at the beginning of the post. Gonna see if its made in a gray.❤️ps. Saw it comes in 38, looks like brown shattered with gray. I’m gonna research that.

You are probably going to laugh but I followed a suggestion to wash a synthetic wig in Woolite and cool water, rinse then soak for 10 minutes or so in a capful of fabric softener. Remove without rinsing, gently ease the excess water out and leave out to dry. It worked beautifully. Am I ok doing that?

We aren’t going to laugh, Woolite was a common product for washing wigs. It makes sense since it isn’t natural hair but a synthetic fiber. Problem is it has a tendency to build up along with the fabric softener over time. If it is a wig that is just worn occasionally then It’s ok to do that, but with something worn daily and that will be washed more often it’s always best to get products made for it.

Used with a thermal spray yes it will help! If they get too bad though steam is the only way to pull most of it out.

What if you live in the desert? That's dry heat. I looked up the Restore and it is scented. I need an unscented. Can you recommend something unscented?

The heat from the environment is fine, it is the severe heat from cooking, etc. that will damage the wig. As for unscented we will have to research that!

Yes the face framing is very similar, but the Julia doesn't have bangs. They are both beautiful!

We will look at them and tell you if what you are wanting done is possible and if it is, we will do it. If it is just tweaking that is usually not an issue, but some people think they can "restyle" their wig by cutting and it doesn't work that way like it does with bio hair. The price will range from $15-$50.

It depends on the length of the hair. For longer wigs it isn't a good idea to use the small brush as it will tangle more if you try to curl with it, but for the shorter wigs the larger brush won't add enough bend or curl.

I would like to say to u ladies that frequent Sally’s beauty supply about my last visit there. They were very rude to me when I asked for a hair product that I use on my wigs. Manager said, “We don’t sell products for wigs.!’ Then 2 other dumb ass clerks agreed. Is this wig discrimination or what? Can’t understand why black women embrace wigs, (90% of wig wearers are black women) and its so taboo for a white woman to wear them. I get so tired of seeing balding heads on women that really age them, when they could wear a beautiful wig that could take 10 yrs or more off their age!
