The king was no where near the queen when she died. The queen died In a cave surrounded by hunters. No one has told the king his name. Carlie is right, the stress from encountering Pouf’s en was so overwhelming that Knov’s hair turned white.

It was estabilished that really talented people can obtain nen for use in their respective fields. In the Yorknew arc, Gon used this knowledge to look for treasures that had traces of nen in them, which indicate that someone who had nen and was thus, talented in that field, made them, which would likely mean that those treasures were more expensive than they looked. So Komugi at this point in the episode, has actually managed to obtain nen on her own by achieving a pinacle of hability in Gungi. Which means she would grow even more as her nen ability, which is used to play gungi grows.

Pouf is like the embodiment of a perfect underling. He really thinks like an ant: only serving the king, thinking about what’s the best for him. He is loyal to a fault and only wants his species to thrive so he puts everything (his devotion and life) into his king. Exactly what you expect from a animal living in a colony like ants

Love the scene where the King asks his guards for his name, their reactions are just the perfect summary of their views. Pouf puts the King on this huge pedastal where he's a godlike being who doesn't need a name; calling himself anything other than King dilutes what he views him as. Pitou suggests that he may choose his own name because they want to take his feelings into account and be emotionally satisfied(also the way she agreed without hesitation to guard Komugi, because it's what The King wanted.) Youpi doesn't really understand the question since he doesn't have much identity of his own. Just a really nicely written interaction with the three.

If Komugi loses a single Gungi match she'll die. Her extreme focus, conviction and mastery of Gungi made her a genius using Nen without knowing. And she is so strong at Gungi because it is a HEAVY condition for a simple game, so she's always getting better when necessary. Notice how she says that new moves keep flowing into her mind? It's her ability.

Meruem is sych a facinating character, he just keeps growing and changing.

Pouf is worried that Komugi can change the king. He's right to be worried

There are certain individuals that are able to use Nen without any formal knowledge or training like Gon and other Hunters have. These people are referring to as “Geniuses”. Neon the fortune teller girl can be considered one. Usually these Geniuses’ ability in Nen is tailored to a specific talent like. Craft and fortune telling or in Komugi’s case Gungi.

If you recall, it was said in the York New arc that individuals with talent and drive, given the right circumstances, can naturally develop Nen. Komugi is a Gungi prodigy and she’s very determined and passionate about it, so it’s no wonder she eventually awakened to her power. Her goal is to win every Gungi match, and last episode she said that in EVERY match she plays she bets her life; that’s basically one of the highest condition you can make to use your power, that’s why she’s evolving so fast (like Pouf said)

Komugi & Meruem scene in 108 is one of my absolute favourites. It's a scene you'll never forget, it's the start of the most incredible character journey for Meruem.

The scene where King and Komugi is worth praising for. But the one I respect the most here is Novu. He clearly is scared and yet contribute every way he can for the team.

I wonder … Komugi says she never forgets a move she made and remembers all the gunghi-placements. That’s something a Savant could do. Normally Savants are extremely good at a specific field (like remembering a whole cities outlay and drawing it correctly from memory). I wonder if she is a savant

It was stablished a couple times before that people can awaken nen and use it in their respective fields. Remember when they first got Nen explained? sensei said very talented special people use nen and they are genius mathmaticians, martial artist, etc. That is the case for our lil gurl Komugi. Since she has poured all her being into shogi, she's awakend nen and its directed all towards it. She'd probably be an enhancer? boosting her brainpower's skills relevant to be good at the game :3

I think Gon's defining characteristic is he will always seek a satisfying fight - sometimes to his benefit (eg giving Hisoka a punch in the face was Gon making a victory for himself) but also sometimes to his detriment (eg with the Bomber where he fought way too recklessly) He is selfish because he will always try find satisfaction in his fights, but that can cause him to lose sight of what is right for himself and/or others

Don’t forget Meruem is essentially still a kid or teen and ignorant to a lot of things in the world, whilst being supremely intelligent. He just doesn’t understand the complexity of his own feelings or his purpose. He’s essentially has been being groomed and spoiled by the royal guards telling him what his purpose is and how since he’s king his word is absolute even if he is possibly wrong.

7:30 from what I understand, basically at this moment, the king is only second to komugi at gungi. The top 2 players in the world are going head to head in constant battles. It kinda makes sense why komugi awoken during her games with the king. “How is mereum the second best player?” He literally just beat every single number 1 player of all the other games and is challenging the current master while also improving.

Okay, let me try to explain Pouf to you: Meruem tells Pouf that he doesn’t care about the mission being propelled forward, Pouf should decide for himself. And you see that absolutely broken look on Poufs face because he is literally a soldier. How can the king just tell him to decide himself? He is born to serve the king, not make decisions that only the king is allowed to make. This feels like plasphemy to him. His ant-brain can’t cope with bein given such permission because it is not what he is born for and what he wants. He only wants to fullfill orders and make his king stronger (so the species can survive), don’t give him jobs that only the king should be allowed to do. That also shows at 9:20, calling him an „almighty king“ because this is what the ant-species needs and he sees Meruem changing and becoming something that goes against his animal instincts. But he wants to hold onto the king he was born to serve so he begins to hate the being (Komugi) who changes him and indirectly threadenes the ant-colony

The actual reason why Knov is so affected by the royal guards it effectively took him out of the fight is because his power is broken as fuck and the author had to find a way to tone his ass down.

The contrast between Gon and Killua's characters is actually sad and makes a lot of sense. Gon is your typical kid: stubborn and selfish but good hearted. Killua is more mature for his age, calculated, and realistic. But Gon is the norm and Killua is the exception, and it all comes down to their background and the environment in which they were brought up.

Day 80 of telling Carlie and Ange that Hisoka isn't actually a pedo*****. He’s sexually attracted to power. And he doesn’t care if it’s coming from machi or gon. I don’t think Hisoka has a regular sex drive. I believe his whole existence is based on the drive to prove himself against powerful opponents - so his sex drive also manifests itself as attraction for power and potential. Just treat him like a normal character and forget it 😅😅😅
