I’m gonna share something a bit different. But similar to the first impression that Gabbi’s parents had to Khalil. When he drove me home for the first time, there was another car blocking our small gate so I need to get off his car already. And after that, I was about to go inside the gate when my grandma came out. I looked back to his car para lang sana sabihan sya, or to gesture na mag HI sa lola ko.. But he was looking at the back seat, fixing some kalat. So ang ginawa ko, I gently knocked on the window lang. just to get his attention.. and as soon as he saw my grandma, he immediately got off from the car to greet my lola and nag mano pa sya. Sobrang natuwa ako sakanya when he did that. My lola even said he’s such a well-mannered guy to do such thing. That was the moment I realized, “wow! I’m dating the right guy.” Ayun. Being well-mannered is really important. Not just when meeting your partner’s guardians, but also, it should be applied to any aspect of your life. 🥰 and that’s how you get a good impression from others. I love the part where they talked about the finances. It’s very realistic. Like Gabbi, I remember doing and saying the same with my ex. I always believed that it should not always be the ‘guy’ who’s cashing out. It’s more practical since both are working and sustainable in the long run. It’s a partnership after all.

I just listened to this podcast episode ♥️ Hahaha - so I’ll share my first date with the boyfie. It was valentines day 2015, supposedly, it was a “group” movie date cos everyone wanted to see Fifty Shades of Grey but everyone bailed the day before feb 14. So it was just me & him - e we weren’t close pa that time. We had common friends lang na nagsetup nung group movie date. So I texted him (yes ako talaga?) i was like “so they won’t go na daw. Tuloy pa rin ba tayo? Lol” (ofc may lol cos idk hahaha I didn’t really like him that time, as in friends lang talaga, like I just wanted to go out kasi naka set na yung mind ko na aalis ako sa Valentines Day) then he was like “yah sure but im driving right now buy our movie tickets na kasi baka maubos yung seats cos Valentines tomorrow *gives credit card details*” HAHA i was shookt kasi we weren’t close that time pero he gave his credit card details. =))))) anyway so I bought the tickets using his CC cos at that time I didn’t have my own credit card yet - I was still using my mom’s supplementary card. Anyway…. So february 14, i went to the movie place in BGC and he texted na he’s going to be late - so I was like omg will he bail on me???? And the movie was starting already! So i went inside (the movie was Fifty shades….. so awkward cos it was valentines day tapos mag-isa ako & this movie pa. Hahahaha) then he arrived na like 30 minutes after the movie started & it was so awkward cos it was our first time hanging out with each other… so it was a movie so we really couldn’t speak… then after the movie, he said “let’s go out for dinner, grab something to eat” so I was like “yah sure, let’s go” tapos when we went out the mall - it started raining! E he parked sa open parking, so we ran….. then we went to SM Aura, he said we’ll eat at Todd English daw. Surprisingly we were able to get a table kahit Valentines Day, it was late narin like around 9PM. So we ate, kwento, got to know each other then when he was about to get the bill. He told me “naiwan ko yung wallet sa car ko” so I was like “Ah its okay I can pay naman” then he was like “no i’ll get it quickly” tapos he left. Tapos I was like “OMG IS HE BAILING ON ME?!” HAHAHAHAHA. Tapos yun he want back naman hahahahaha and we’re still together. Going 6 yrs this coming September 16. Hahahaha! Just wanted to share our story cos nakakatawa 🤣😂 Been following you guys for quite some time now! Happy that you guys are doing the podcast & front seat foodies! Yay! Congratulations!!! Stay safe xx

First Date We were teammates at work, but he didn't really know me well yet kasi nakawork from home ako, while sila napunta talaga sa office. Until hinati yung team namin for a "competition"; siya yung leader ng group namin, and he had to call and remind me kasi lagi akong di nakakahit ng target namin that time. 😅 Nagkataon pa na nawalan ako ng net sa boarding house, so I had to travel from QC to Alabang to work at the office. Pagpasok ko pa, seatmates kami, so may pasmall talk ganun. The following day, biglang he was interviewing me na - about life, my beliefs, whether I believe in the spirit of Christmas (LOL), and kung anong gusto kong traits sa isang tao, etc. 😂 It felt like he was asking about my ideal guy pero may disclaimer sya na not necessarily romantic traits daw. Anyway, dinig na dinig sa office yung painterview ni koya kasi ang lakas ng boses nya. Parang live broadcast ang dating.😅 So san ang first date? Sa Ministop! Bumili siya ng Kariman and I offered to accompany him. On our way there and while crossing the street, nagulat ako kasi ang protective. Gusto niya siya yung nakaharang dun sa dadaanan ng cars. Di ako sanay 😂 kahit takot ako tumawid. Ganun lang daw talaga sya. 😂 Ang sarap lang ng flow ng conversation that it felt like a spontaneous date. After that, non-stop chat na rin. Then, we had our official date sa Banapple. Nag-insist sya magbayad, pero after that, split na kami lagi. Ganun naman talaga dapat. 😉 Now, mag 5 years na kami.😊
