Fun fact: Mamamoo was the reason Killing Voice started. Originally there was only Killing Verse for rappers. Solar wanted to be on the show but was disappointed that it wasn't for singers. Because of that, the channel Dingo started Killing Voice for Mamamoo and it has since became a trend for singers to do medleys :)

As far as I’m aware, none of them produce though? they sometimes write the vocal lines or lyrics for songs, Solar has written a couple of instrumental melodies and Moonbyul writes most of her own raps, but no actual production credits.

@@shortdrink873moonbyul has some komca composing credits but i don't remember how many. Obviously she has a looooot more from writing lyrics. I know Hwasa has the most composer credits, 16 since I last saw maybe more.

Mamamoo is the pioneer of the dingo killing voice. All members are successful soloists. If you get a chance to check out their solo music, you will see how they have different styles & specializes in different genres. However, when they come together as Mamamoo, they have perfect synergy. If you're into Kpop for the music, you'll definitely love the Mamamoo journey, even beyond the kpop hype, they are artists through and through.

After listening to the Vocal Kings, Exo, the only thing you should do is listen to the Vocal Queens. Mamamoo. Both groups are extremely talented. Despite their companies not promoting them in the west, the amount of international fans, both male and female, is a testament to the vocal and charismatic effort these groups provide for their fans.

Mamamoo is queen of the live performance... 4 singer, 4 dancer, 4 rapper, 4 compocer, 4 songwriter, 4 youtuber, etc... Mamamo just mamamoo is the group and 4 solo singer... And they always enjoy for their performance... In 2021 they released 67 songs and in 2022 Mamamoo released 72 songs. they are singers who are productive in their singing careers, be it group, solo or subunit.. ❤❤❤❤ Thanks for your reaction...😊

They are all Korean 😊 And Hwasa (the member in the trackies) was sick when they filmed this, and she still sounds amazing! Mamamoo has some of the best vocals in Kpop and their stage presence is INSANE.

Mamamoo was the first group to appear on Killing Voice. There was a previous show called Killing Verse that featured rappers. Solar of Mamamoo called the show and wanted to go on. No one says no to Mamamoo anymore, so they revamped the show as Killing Voice and Mamamoo went on first. It was such a hit that dozens more entertainers have gone on the show now. If I might recommend a lesser known artist, check out Stella Jang. She's a Korean solo singer who studied in France, so she's fluent and sings in Korean, French, and English. She has a really cute song out in English called Orange, You're Not a Joke to Me, responding to the netizens who complained that she left out orange from her song Colors. And she did Killing Voice, solo. Brave.

Solar, the powerful voice you thought was from South-East Asia, is actually Korean (they are all Korean). It is such a great killing voice!! Other killing voices I could recommend are from: Seventeen, (G)-Idle, Exo, NCT (127 and Dream), and for soloists: IU, Taeyeon, honestly there are too many great ones. You should check out (solo) stuff from Mamamoo as well, if you haven't already (Wheein's new album is out and it is amazing!). Edit: I've noticed that you have already checked out many of these killing voices, but they're still recommendations for others reading this!

You can now say you’ve seen the start of Killing Voice. Solar…the leader of the group, pestered the original show so much because she wanted to perform on it. They changed the format of the show so Mamamoo could perform on it.

The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023 - Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall... Yoon Mirae at 139), since she writes her own raps(and more) in almost all of the group’s songs. As well as contributing to the songwriting in many of them as well. - Solar has 37 credits to her name. She wrote the lyrics and composition for her solo song, “Spit it Out”. Composer on "Honey". - Hwasa has 44 credits. The lyrics to her solo song, “María”, were praised for its inventive and meaningful wordplay. ("Somebody" w/Loco). - Wheein has 9 credits (that I can find, maybe more) UPDATE Aug 27/23 - Moonbyul 117 - Solar 41 - Hwasa 46 -Wheein 10 +

And Tash was bang on at the end, they were chosen only for the fact that they had voices that were all great and could work together seamlessly. The CEO of their agency was criticised early when he showed them off to other agencies and they were told they didn’t have the visuals or dance power that would become popular like is the mould for most K-pop groups. They proved this thought wrong by at first by being strong vocally, and being unique and offering something rare. They sometimes seem to sound very similar because they can harmonise and have great range, and it’s especially because of Wheein who is the bridge that spans between the richness of Hwasa’s voice and the power and height of Solar (but Wheein has her own unique strengths too), and the ability of Moonbyul to rap in a tempo and tone that suits the other so well, also the fact she can sing strongly too (she only started rapping after she applied as a vocalist but was told they already had too much vocal strength in the group).

The Mamamoo rapper is the Idol with the most credits in the all K-pop industry with more than 100 credits. She is the only female idol in the top 20. Mamamoo are really great artists, maybe they don't have much "fame", but taking into account I'm a momoo (Mamamoo fan) from Mexico 💚😉

The one who said yellow flower is their favorite song, i know the title of the song was in korean so you couldnt know, but if you want to add to your playlist, the name is actually "Starry Night" and yellow flower is their album name from their 4 seasons project 😊. A little help just incase. Oh and 'Décalcomanie' is french word that refers to a decorative technique on transfering a picture or design from prepared paper (meant to create an mirror image). If you ever watch the MV for it makes more sense. At least for me it did 😅. Anyway thank you for reacting to them 😊 Solar is also my bias. Those power vocals got me 😬.
