Astor estaba de gira por el Caribe y se entera que su papá falleció. Y cómo no llega al funeral, se encierra solo ( algunos dicen en un avión) otros un cuarto de hotel. No su familia podía interrumpirlo y compone está maravilla de la humanidad. Cada etapa de la obra son los sentimientos q tubo. Bronca, resignación, aceptación y caer en un recuerdo doloroso por no poder abrazarlo

nostalgia,emoción,tango,Buenos Aires, es difícil explicar como Piazzolla, con mucho talento y un Bandoneón, resume la vida y el sentir de una gran ciudad, esta música toca el alma hasta las lágrimas , hace 20 años que partí de esa bendita tierra .

Astor was on a tour in Puerto Rico when news reached him that his father had died, he shut himself in a room and in a while composed this masterpiece to honour his dead father. Nonino is an Italian way fo saying grandad, that was the way his kids called their grandpa.

But, I recommend the live version that took place in Germany by the violinist André Rieú in an open place full of people where he made "goodbye nonino" and libertango "by the maestro Astor Piazzola. It is much more emotional. The cameras take foreground to Many women who do not resist and start crying. The invited bandoneon player is Argentine as a piazzola. Esta canción tiene varias etapas... cada una describen los sentimientos de Astor al enterarse de la muerte de su padre... primero es la negación... luego la ira y la bronca por la noticia... luego la depresión y el dolor...y por último la resignación y al amor del recuerdo hacia su padre despidiendo a Vicente Nonino... uno de mis tangos preferidos. Musica de Buenos Aires para el mundo.

Astor Piazzolla was an outstanding musicican from Argentina. I want to tell you that your audio sistem has a problem...it sounds strange as if there's a lot of interference and your voices aren't heard as clear as other times.
