i finally understand why so many people told me florence is their favorite city. we were a little shocked by just how many tourists there were (may is a big time for school trips apparently lol) but when we were able to find pockets of peace, it was such a warm and inviting place. everyone was so kind and over the top hospitable and i can't wait to be back - definitely want to get out of city center and explore more of tuscany next time!!!

I spent a week last summer in Florence and now it’s one of the best memories of all my life. In Cinque Terre there were so many people that I couldn’t really appreciate it. Thanks for the video!

I went to Firenze 12 years ago! That was my first time outside of my own country which is Finland. We went to Rome, Milan, Firenze, Pisa and a town next to Lake Garda which I don't remember the name of. It's strange seeing Firenze again after such a long time. The church is HUGE, this video really doesn't show just how big it is! It's crazy.

Ahhh, Firenze è la più bella città del mondo per me. Florence is the most beautiful city in the world for me. Viewing your vlog was like retracing my steps when I have been there last time in 2017, which is definitely far too long ago. I climbed the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo on the same day, around 800 steps altogether 😂 , did not feel my legs at all anymore. I am hoping to get to travel to Florence this year again it is only a night train ride away from where I live in Germany. Your vlogs are always so beautiful and inspiring. Thank you.

SO beautifully made!!! like always, yes, but oh gosh I almost teared up at the part with the sunset. Not exaggerating. I love sunsets and you are SO good at doing justice to the scene, the feel. Thank you 😭 and actually this was one of our least planned trips! We knew we were started and ending in paris but the rest was a little more up in the air. We got a 5 day eurail pass if that helps! Also a lot of these cities are so walkable that we just wandered around and ended up seeing so much!

I just went to Florence (as part of a trip to Europe) for the first time last week, and I just loved Florence and Siena so so much. Your words at the end resonated with me so much as there wasn’t enough time and everything is just so beautiful, you just can’t experience it all at the same time, but you did the right thing, just enjoy every single moment whenever you are, notice the little things, sounds, smells…. I fell in love with Italy and hope we can go back soon. Great video!

Great vlog as always, really got a feel for the places you were at - that's definitely an art you've mastered! Totally get what you meant by having to visit places 'for real' - recently did a Rome trip and went into the Sistine Chapel and, although I've seen it on movies and a million other vlogs, to sit inside and just experience it for myself was just breathtaking (and surprisingly moving).

Really appreciate you saying your travelling is not necessary top 10 things to do in *insert city name* I'm currently planning my trip to Korea and my map is filled with plenty of stuff (mostly your recommendations of cute cafes) as much as seeing the most famous places could be nice I much rather discover the small nooks and crannies of a place and find what's beautiful to me rather then go where everyone else going to!

We stayed at the most charming airbnb at the top of the hill in Cinque Terre. Such a beautiful seaside town. The Italian Riviera is just overwhelmingly beautiful and this gave me nostaglia!! Firenze is just an artists dreammmmm city. The Ponte Vecchio was the only bridge not destroyed during WWII too. Ahhhhhh all the food tooooo....take me back! Thanks for sharing!

I lived in Italy for the past five months because of my study abroad programme, I'm leaving next week. I visited the majority of Northern Italy while here and I'm going to Rome on Saturday and all I can say is that I truly fell in love with this country. I really found the architecture everywhere that you filmed to be overwhelmingly beautiful. I can only imagine what it's like to see it in person and appreciate the scale of things. @@caricakes it is actually fairly quick to take a fairy from Venice to Pula (I believe). I was in Istria last summer and it’s beautiful. You can definitely see the Roman influences.

These vlogs are beautiful.. They make my heart ache to watch because I miss living in Italy.. and I will go back one day! i remember visiting chinque terre as a 9 year old kid, i was soo amazed back then, now in a few days im going to visit it again, as a 20 year old 🥺 makes me emotional

We went there in 2016 and the cobblestones did a number on my feet but it was all so worth it. We got to climb to the top of the Duomo dome (it was scary and hot on the way up but the view!) and the museums and Pitti Palace are gorgeous.

Wonderful video Cari, just so beautiful! Do not apologize....you and Kurt need to live in the moment and enjoy the experience together! So lovely to see both of your expressions as you traveled, and ate, and took in the city. I think you did an awesome job showing the cities on your trip....Thank You! Over the Ponte Vecchio is a corridor from the Uffizi that has self portraits of famous artists. It’s closed to the public but apparently you can get private tours.

We didn’t get lots of talking but I enjoyed this one a lot, just an organic telling of your time thru visual/audio and some subtitles…beautiful and artsy which fit the culture:) Would love to see all the old pretty architecture in places like this myself someday, hopefully sooner rather than later. Seeing all the food tho ugh, I just got my wisdom teeth out and have been eating mush the last few days, eyeballing that pizza killed me lol
