We grew Bell Peppers on the side of our house in a small hydroponic system just to see if it would work. This was a fun project for our family and while we did get peppers, we learned a lot and plan to do it again!

I just read an old book on hydroponics. It used a gravity fed method of watering. No pumps needed back in the old days. 2 buckets needed... one above system for watering and bucket to catch the soloution. When the solution has slowly gone through... the " drainage" is once again is added to the bucket up top to water plants again. Check daily. .

You may want to add liquid seaweed to your nutrient blend to provide trace minerals.

The bubbling on the leafs is nothing to do with fire, its insect damage with them biting the back of the leaf,

When the plants growing and producing, the we added water every couple days. Maybe next time we can add a float so we can tell without opening up.

We didn't have the right sized net cups, so we designed one and printed them on a 3D printer.

How often do you water the plants? Is the water pump on 24/7?

We let it run 24/7, but could set a timer since the roots in our system are always in water.

The pvc pipe is 4" or 6"?

We used 4" PVC for the main body and 2" for the connections. But, better if you can keep longer runs of the 4" - we just didn't have a lot of space.
