Thanks for this, I loved your retrospective on Bowser and your musings on his character.

Gotta love Hades' personality. He is always upbeat with only occasional rage. The guy has his heart destroyed and was pierced through the chest with the lightning chariot. His response? "Well at least I'm not dead!" What a guy.

Out of the entire series you choose Ghirahim? He must have been the worst villain by far. Nothing but a pawn, an excessively flamboyant way of dressing and acting (with the exception of the last time you fight him) and he creepy... and not the good creepy like Majora that makes it hard to sleep at night, the kind that makes you ware a chastity belt whenever you see him around and take a cold shower after hes gone.

In regards to Dr. Robotnik/Eggman, his motivation has actually been pretty consistent. It's always been world domination. In Sonic Colours, he DID have that theme park, but it was to cover up his true plan; which was to turn the entire Whisp Alien species into a fuel to power his mind control cannon to make everyone on Sonic's planet his slaves. Once again, world domination. However, w/ how goofy of a villain he can be at times, I can understand why you would only have him at #6 on this list; especially because he's made for some of the dumbest ideas for robotic creations. The Secret Base Zone Boss, (Sonic Advance) the Egg Golem, (Sonic Adventure 2/SA2: Battle) and the Lava Reef Zone Boss (Sonic & Knuckles/Sonic 3 & Knuckles) just to name a few.

If there was an honorable mentions list, I'd wish for Dr. Cortex from the Crash Bandicoot games to be there. His best appearances, to me are in Crash Bandicoot: Warped and Crash Twinsanity. I loved wreck it Ralph! (my favourite bit is the Owl City song at the end "When Can I See You Again", and the driving parts were great too) There's a lot of characters I love to hate, Bowser, Grunty and Eggman for example, Team rocket in pokemon as they always try and get in your way.

I am glad you put Dr. Willy, Bowser, Dr. Eggman, and team star wolf (though I minus Krystal as an enemy since she does a better job at being Fox's lover interest and shows she can watch fox's back when he needs it). mostly Bowser, Eggman, and team star wolf cause even though they are villains they even know that if their is a common enemy threating them both, they will team up with the hero or heroes to save the day just so later or in another game they can have a try.

I like Elpihas the Inheritor from the DOW series. Eliphas was a Dark Apostle and he led cultists to conquer a planet in DOW: dark Crusade, failed, died, and came back on an ice world in DOW2: Chaos Rising. He also killed a superior Chaos Lord, took his armor and he is the best at trolling the Blood Ravens Space Marines and I hope that he comes back, especially with his old voice actor: Paul Dobson.

It's no surprise Hades is Number 1 (WOOT!), but I was also expecting Fawful to be on here somewhere.

This is why I love the Archie Sonic Comic Book series so much. If you thought Eggman was goofy all the time, here is a list from beginning to now of his evil crimes. Took over the planet. Created Metal Sonic Made an weapon that can vaporize major cities in one blast. Discovers his enemies’ secret hiding spot, destroys it, and brutally enslaves them as prisoners. Fought Sonic bare handed in a fight to the death as both of them were being slowly erased by the very weapon I listed above. Psychologically scars the Freedom Fighters when he makes his grand return in Issue #75. Does the events of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. When Sonic “sacrifices” himself in Issue #125, he doesn’t grieve. He initiates an all-out war. Created an A.I. that almost brought the end of the world. Burns the city of Knothole (The Freedom Fighters, their friends and family, and the monarchy’s home) to the ground with his Egg Fleet. DEFEATS Sonic the Hedgehog single handedly in battle armor. Almost drains the life force out of all of Sonic’s friends and family. Defeats an omnipotent being, even if it was only temporarily. As he loses his sanity losing to Sonic so many times, he almost vaporizes half of his forces and the Freedom Fighters in one issue. AND, When he regains his sanity, he builds a new Death Egg, altered reality, thus creating Mecha Sally, which broke the Freedom Fighters, only to reset reality again for the Sonic/Megaman crossover, disrupts Super Sonic when he’s trying to fix their world and is now responsible for the current problem of their world being torn apart by fissures. I would love to see a Ganondorf who acts like Joffrey from GoT/aSoIaF with Kefka's godlike powers from FFVI with a more menacing look that almost resembles demise's but who looks a little more like a human who's mortal. That'd be epic to see in the next dark Zelda game.

I prefer the Demon King over the Demon Lord in my opinion. Because of that one line. "Heh. As long as my true power is awakened... I CAN NEVER BE DEFEATED!" That line alone tells you that even if you took back the castle after defeating him, Ganondorf will NOT stop unless you are defeated.

Clockwork was in one game i believe. After that he kinda died off. His mind is pretty genius, with the mind control game which had you use Bentley one of (if not the only) time in the game. Overall I don't see much to hate him for.

Note, Bowser survived being sucked into the CORE of a PLANET, and then a black hole, he also has his Giga-Bowser form and has appeared multiple times as Dry-Bowser, He can't even be stopped by DEATH ITSELF.

With eggman being gone for good, if I may interject; there has been a new 3D sonic adventure game announced to be released before the end of the year. So there is an extremely high possibility he will (somehow) return.
