ADAM and Eve have been together for 10 years and started in a polyamorous relationship. Since 2020 they have dated about 60 people. They are dating coaches and have applied their knowledge to their own dating lives. Adam and Eve have five children and describe their parenting style as ‘pretty standard’. Eve said: “When it comes to our children we didn’t really sit down and have a specific conversation like ‘Mommy and Daddy are polyamorous’ - so for them it’s just another friend until about six months in.” Despite having dated around 60 people, the couple have only properly introduced three of their partners to their children. The couple have faced judgement about their dating lives and misconceptions about their behaviour in front of their children. Adam said: “I don’t believe our dating life impacts our children in any major way, other than to help them be more tolerant and open to other ideals.” They are currently in a relationship with Bella with whom they got romantically involved a few months ago. Their children adore her and especially enjoy baking with her. Eve said: “The best thing about being in a poly relationship is you’re making your own rules. It’s like you have your cake and eat it.”

Excuse the pun, but they have so many people coming in and out how do they maintain stability for their children? And there is a general attitude that if we are ok, then our children will fall into line. Children crave trust and stability. Would they inevitably bring on a stable (permanent) partner? I hope so.

The couple say that it doesn’t affect their children because they don’t meet the women . That is not true ! Where are they going to have relations with the women other than at the family home . These women aren’t one night stands , they have relationships with them . Also the 14 yr old dodged the question when he was asked how many of his parents partners he’d met. That says it all!

A lot of comments on here saying how damaging it is to their kids and i don't agree. Monogamy doesn't produce perfect kids. Why would polyamory produce "damaged kids?" The kids look happy, healthy, and are loved. To me, that's all that matters.

This is one of the first poly relationships that i can somewhat agree to that works. First off they are very protective of their children. The girlfriend is very invested into the children and helps out. Though i feel later on she will want more investment, like children, but will not get it and will leave like the other girlfriend. That will have an affect on the children which i dont agree with. He makes enough money to raise and support the entire family and doesnt need peoples tax money to support his lifestyle. To people who discredit their relationship, look at all the strict religions including christianity where men took multiple women as wives, and bared many children. If this man wants to be nagged by more than one woman, hats off to him, not my cup of tea though.

This is a good post. It's also worth mentioning that the eldest son is 14 but they said they have only been together for 10 years, so he is the son from the first relationship and they are making it work. Children need love, boundaries and open communication. I don't see how they are not getting that in this set up.

Hello, I am a what is called a Baby Boomer, therefore I don’t understand this lifestyle. But because it’s not understood does not necessarily mean that it will destroy the Children.what is considered Normal or traditional, may not be for everyone. Now if this is being done out of pure selfishness that’s another story. This doesn’t seem like this is the case. I Pray all turns out well for everyone and especially the Children. Let us keep an optimistic mindset!

Women would rather share a high value Man than be with one faithful low value man. (Value is money, looks, charisma, confidence, nothing to do with morality or kindness). I guess we have different ideas of what high value is… to me, high value more has to do with a person’s character. Of course their financial status and how established in their career/life matters too. But if they have terrible character/personality traits/morals, I do not see them as high value no matter how much money is in the bank. That just brings them down to a low level. No one wants to be around a shitty person with shitty character and shitty personality that could be offensive, insensitive, or abusive. This could be a dishonest person with no integrity and narcissistic personality disorder, as an example. Would you consider that a high value person? Helllll no.
