Dr. Shaw, I’m a hairstylist. I highly recommend “double cleansing” your hair with an oil based cleanser first (like a facial cleansing balm, coconut oil, or any oil based cleanser before stepping in the shower. Or an oil based cleanser with a pump in the shower works great too for convenience). Your products and any scalp residue will melt away. You might need to wash twice afterwards with your regular shampoo to get all of the oils and residues out. It works really well for all kinds of oil based scalp conditions also.

Love you guys! Happy New Year! I am a 63 year old woman and honestly, the best thing to happen to me was getting an unbelievably painful sunburn in Aruba in 1982. I have been using sunscreen since, and I can honestly say that I have been using Eucerin face moisturizer with SPF 30 and it has saved my skin from looking old and wrinkled. People often ask what I use to look so young, but it was prevention from an incident 40 years ago. I still use it, but I did purchase the LaRoche Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 sunscreen when I was in Paris 3 months ago, and of course am obsessed! I can’t get it here, but plan on purchasing this the next time me or any family member or friends are in Europe anytime soon. I love your videos and again, thank you for such informative and fun content.

9:17 My favourite shampoo right now is the Revlon Equave Instant Detangling Micellar Shampoo: It contains some fragrance so it's not recommended for people with high sensitivity. However, it is excellent at cleaning the scalp, it doesn't foam too much, my bleached hair got more volume and noticeably less split, frizzy hair ends, the scent is pleasant in my opinion and it is affordable in comparison to other high quality shampoos. I totally recommend it and will repurchase it soon.

Oh I love this video! Gee I use so many things. But I’m recently I’m religiously committed to Avene & U Beauty! They are both spectacular! Ok so I’m using the strong retinol avene serum, eye serum and the antioxidant serum. And UBeauty, you guys gotta check it out, it’s amazing. I’m using the resurfacing face serum and body resurfacing serum, and there eye serum and their lip gloss, which is a nighttime treatment for nourishing the lips and fullness for 24-48 hours! I’m serious. Beats Laniege, which I still love. I also really enjoyed La roche posay torelmaine spf went through a whole bottle and ordered more, and neutrogena spf serum with retinol and vitamin C. La roche posay spf compact, the lighter version for under eye spf and it doubles as a concealer for my dark circles! The La roche posay tinted spf. Cetaphil, dehydration, skin, restoring water gel, Pharmacy, halo glow moisturizer, Garnier moisture rescue for sensitive skin, kheils moisturizing cream, Dead Sea minerals exfoliating bar soap for body & salt soap I love, Curel in shower moisturizer and I use it after washing my hands. Lancôme comfort honey toner. Suave rosemary mint shampoo for my roots. Peter Thomas Roth black charcoal mask is awesome, I had a spider bite put it one every day. Neutrogena sayslic acid body wash, I like Clinique cleansing balm, and zero. Been using Neutrogena face cleanser for sensitive skin, but I’m really liking the Avene moisturizing cleanser. And The Vichey eye serum with hyaluronic acid and caffeine is amazing.

Last year I finally found a sunscreen that I absolutely love! It's the Heliocare anit-aging emulsion. I tried a different Heliocare one which was also nice, but definitely like the anti-aging one more. It's quite liquidy and thin, but I like that and it's tinted so no white cast! It feels amazing on my normal/slightly dry skin. I've bought probably 3 last year, but despite being a fairly small tube, I do find it lasts a few months and that's with daily morning application.

Thank you for keeping up with these fabulous videos. Love them! I use oils/balms for cleansing too. I've tried the one you mentioned and it IS a lovely scent and works great. For a treat, I use Sulwhasoo cleansing oil (lux Korean brand by Amore Pacific). OH BOY. It's thick, and slides over your face and smells divine. A little pricey but a treat! I have purchased a few things regularly. Kerasal for your feet. That is the only ointment that actually fixes my dry, rough heels and toe tips. I've tried many over the decades! It's so good though I'm a little leery about using it every day. My husband's feet have really gotten horrid (he's 72) Unfortunately he hates putting anything on his skin. I've had to NAG him for years to wear sunscreen with off and on success. There was no way would he use an ointment on his feet. I've ordered Eucerin 10% Urea for feet which is supposed to be fast absorbing. I'm hoping that will work. Hand creams are another challenge. There are a number of NIOD products I repurchase like the mist, copper peptides and hydration.

This year I did a dive into skin care so a lot of my products I have had for less than 6 months. However, I do have some that are almost empty and that I used in the past. For most used items of the past: Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser & the Scrub(I cannot tell you how many tubes I have emptied), Tarte Drink of H2O, and Tarte Maracuja C Brightener Eye cream. From this year, the product I have actually used the most of would be the P.Calm Barrier Cycle Toner, the Torriden BALANCEFUL toner pads, and the Glow Recipe Watermelon PHA + BHA toner. I know toners are a hot topic, but I will often just use a toner as a morning "cleanse". Both of these Toners haven't "transformed" my skin, but they have helped my skin to naturally start cleaning the pores on my cheeks. I only use the Glow Recipe Toner as a "spot treatment" on my nose to help exfoliate my pores.

I consistently use (and replace) Avene's .05 Retrinal serum. It can be used every day with no nasty side effects and does not contain and silicones so any products I apply after it have a chance of doing their thing :)....also it contains squalane which I know you two will appreciate. Also a fan of the LRP Toleraine double repair with SPF and the Avene SPF 50 as well as Cerave and LPR cleansers....

I'm excited to try some of your empties! I have super dry, sensitive skin that's still prone to a few breakouts here and there, and I developed a lot of crazy allergies/intolerances in my 40s, especially to certain scents. I can't even walk by a Bath & Body Works without coughing--my eldest daughter used to work for them, STILL uses their products, and her room still smells faintly of them even though she moved out eight years ago! That's a continuing bone of contention between us, LOL. For sunscreen, I can only use all-mineral formulations, I break out in hives with any chemical ingredients in those. I've tried going to all-natural products, but so many of them just don't work that well. I'm also a product junky, so I buy new things constantly while looking for my "holy grails." (My daughters benefit from my rejects, LOL.) So far, I've only managed to lock down three: G.M. Collin's Sensiderm Cleansing Milk for my face, doTerra's Spa Refreshing Body Wash, and (surprisingly to me) L'Oreal's ProLonger Shampoo and Conditioner rotated with their Metal Detox set. My hairdresser recommended the L'Oreal stuff to me after listening to me complain for years about the various all-natural haircare products I'd tried, and even though they're chockfull of God-knows-what chemicals, they've made a huge difference in my hair and scalp.

My favorite favorite moisturizer is the Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer. I have tried probably 20 different moisturizers over the last couple years and I just keep coming back to this one. It's hydrating but lightweight enough to wear every day, one bottle lasts absolutely forever even using it morning and night, it's unscented and just all around my favorite moisturizer of all time.

You guyyyys! Ty for sharing all your wealth of info and recommendations! I’ve learned so so much over the past few years. Please please please do a video on chemical sunscreen vs mineral when it comes to having color processed hair or wearing light clothing! Extensions as well. Chemical sunscreen can alter the color of your processed hair! If you are a platinum blonde it turns your hair peach! It’s wild! It’s not a topic commonly shared or covered!
