I’ve always loved art . Since I was little I would draw and color for hours. I have a lot of artistic talent, I get it from my family. Music and art are sooo awesome. Your work is beautiful. No wonder you are good with makeup, your artistic talent is really amazing.

Hehe, we always pronounced it with a soft g in art school (like jesso). I have the same issue with looking at my work. Maybe why I don't finish so many pieces.

Is there an reason for the skeleton hand? (probably and I’ve missed it!!) Love the background, it’s like it has movement to it which makes it very interesting. I called my son Vincent after Van Gogh! This is a lovely piece!

As she referred to the normal hand as "life", I presume the skeleton hand is "death". I love this piece. :)

The skeleton represents death, and the arm represents life. The baby in the middle represents us, as living creatures.

@@BijouxVaudou Because, as living creatures, both life and death are our constant companions. Having been given life, we will eventually be given death. One cannot exist without the other, and living creatures cannot exist without both. "Our most precious" can be taken as meaning the present moment, or the time we have as living creatures. I also like the thought of Life and Death as almost parental figures in this piece, where Life would have the child (us, living creatures) from conception to birth, and Death would have it after death, and the space between those poles is the time they both have it, together.

Gesso is an italian word and you pronounce it with a soft g as you say the second time :)
