Thanks for watching our videos. We include all things to do with motorhomes, campervans, van conversions, caravans and the great outdoors. We mainly tour the UK and camp around 80 nights per year in our 2021 IH Motorhomes N-680 CRL luxury VW Crafter van conversion. We offer advice, tips and tricks, review campsites and associated products or services. We also occasionally make videos about other trips we take without the motorhome.

We originally started caravanning with Sue’s parents in 1984. It seemed like a good way for us to work hard and get away at weekends. However like now, there was often a reason for us not being able to travel. We have always been busy doing something 😃👍🏻💙 Trev & Sue

We had the Superstorm but Nick’s Scirocco washroom was far superior to ours. We enjoyed all the caravans and never got a dud. Lucky really 🙂👍🏻🚐 Trev

Great video! This brings echoes of parents journey through leisure vehicles and they swapped often just like you for changing needs, demands and my dad could not resist the latest! A ‘trip’ for a day out to the caravan dealer often never was just window shopping. They too started in 1984 with a Sprite Aerial (dinky little thing) before a series of Elddis (Shamal, Shamal XL and Tornado from memory). Before they tried Coachman and a spattering of Swift. This has brought back so many happy memories so thank you for sharing your story! Andy & Jamie :😊

Sue’s parents started in the 70s and had a series of vans that included the local Suffolk manufacturer Fleetwood and also a very early Adria. Sue’s dad had the only European van on the rally field and it had blue tints on the windows, no one knew why 😃 Thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories. There’s an amazing amount of change in the last 50 years in the caravan industry 👍🏻🙂 Trev

Absolutely brilliant Trev and Sue. So many vans and what a wonderful host of memories. Was that an early 90’s Ford Sierra Trev? So much experience that you’ve given all of us. Totally understand about parking after our six months. So far we’ve coped with hiking and buses 😃 Absolutely fascinating stuff!!

Great video Trevor and Sue. We started in 1981 but in that time we have only had 4 caravans and 1 motorhome, somewhat fewer than you and Sue! You had some cracking vans.

Thank you, we have enjoyed our caravanning experience over the years and found some very comfortable layouts. In 2017 we knew it was time to go to the dark side and try something new. No regrets and we are still getting that feeling of excitement at the beginning of each trip 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev n Sue

Yes we have had some lovely leisure vehicles and all of them have special memories. The motorhomes have surprised us by how spontaneous we can be by getting packed up and on the road within the hour and going to new locations on a daily basis with all our belongings and a little bungalow on wheels 🚐😃👍🏻 Trev

Hi Trev and Sue Your right about picking the wrong layout being expensive we made that mistake with our first Motorhome . It was interesting to see how the layouts haven’t really changed that much over the years

No real breakthroughs but materials used have improved significantly making vans lighter and better insulated. In some cases the newer models seem flimsy though imho. 😃🚐 Trev

Hi Trev and Sue a brilliant video and quite a history of caravans there I remember sone of them loved the Abbeys always such luxurious vans and a neighbour had the abbey Stafford about the age as your Suffolk and I remember the GTS and the sprites and the swifts were great vans it sounds like you both have so many happy memories of them all and your years on the road I grew up with mom and dad having statics but they did similar and upgraded to get benefits of more modern technology and amenities and to secure a layout which better suited needs at the time I think that it’s that change which makes you to want to change be it cars caravans houses etc You have also had some lovely motorhomes and happy memories in both of them which you share with us all I agree with you about Bakewell every time we try we have never been able to park 😂 hope you are both well and glad to hear rally went well all the best Daniel

Thanks so much Daniel, we do have a lot of wonderful memories. When we started caravanning, we would go out and about with Sue’s parents who had their own caravan from the late 1970s. Often just local campsites or rallys. But it was always fun and it got us away from both working long hours, even when the children were young we tried to keep caravanning but we were forced to take a couple of short breaks when Laura arrived in 1987 and then again when we moved here purely because our mortgage was taking everything we had at the time. The years have flown by, which is why we want to continue with our travels and explore as much as we can while we can. 😃 Thank you for your lovely comments 👍🏻💙 Trev n Sue

I love seeing all the old pics. This is such a neat collab. We wouldn't be able to do it. We've only ever had the one LOL. I really love the vintage campers. Always seems a shame when the kids get too old to want to hang out with mom and dad. I really enjoyed seeing all your past camping mobiles.

Thank you, we tried to do lots of different things with the children but caravanning was our “go to” as Sue’s mum and dad had their own caravan from the late 1970s. We would follow them around and stay with them on local campgrounds and rallys. 😃👍🏻💙 Trev

We're possibly changing our tag axle motorhome and going to our 1st caravan (simply because we'd like a big car for when we're home) good to see all your past vehicles but i have to ask would you go back to a caravan? Good to see you both xx

Thank you ☺️ I don’t think we would go back to a caravan as we did it for 33 years and felt we had done everything we wanted to. The van conversion is very spontaneous and we can go from place to place very easily with all our belongings with us. That seems to be what we are enjoying most at the moment 😃🚐 Safe travels in whatever you decide to do. There’s no right or wrong, just different 👍🏻💙 Trev
