The pheasant eggs that another KZfaq channel gifted us started hatching in the GQF forced air incubator , but only 2 of the 8 game bird eggs were fertile. Nonetheless we were super excited about these pheasant chicks we did hatch, but the day prior of the ring neck pheasants hatching, our local feed store got a batch of pheasant chicks in and so we went ahead and purchased ten of the chicks as insurance in case the other chick eggs did not hatch. Our plan is to only keep around three or four of the pheasants and we will start on the new pheasant enclosure or pheasant coop today. We are going to convert our older chicken coop and turn it into a spot to raise the pheasants in.

funny the timing of this video and Simple Truth's reply. My ex-rooster 'Necessary Evil' is simmering on the stove. Sorry sucker attacked me one too many times. I will just buy hatching eggs next time my girls go broody. They don't even miss him.

There is a video, by lumnah acres, where Al installed an automated door on his mobile chicken coop"New Yolk City". He goes over how to set up the door. To open as far as you want it to. And how to set up the timer. If you look up the brand name of the door you can probably get a copy of those instructions from the manufacturer or possibly on KZfaq.

Pheasants!!! I'm So jealous. :) You know, you could run some PVC pipe through the fence and into the goat troughs, then when you feed them you just pour the feed into the PVC pipe and Voila!

I raise ringnecks for release for our area wildlife council. As the pheasants get a bit older, be prepared to either separate the roosters from each other, or put peeps on their beaks so they don’t attack each other. 1 Rooster w/ multiple hens is ok, but a rooster will dominate / kill other roosters over the hens and territory. Have a good time with them - they’re fun to raise!

You need to put the control box up over top of it because it's supposed to have a string and it rolls it up and then Rose it down when it's time but your little box you have to have up above your door

I'd try some lithium grease in each of the channels on the chicken coop sliding door. There may be a current limiter on the motor that causes it to cut-off when it gets too high. You can get a small tube at any auto parts store.

I'm feeling like MC. I've been farming forever but just last year started adding fun chickens to the farm. Now I have quail and guineas, I started incubating this year and have hatching 23 keets so far. 19 cream crested legbar eggs in the incubator with 30 more guinea eggs incubating in another incubator. So much fun and 50 chicks coming soon.

Bathroom looks amazing 👍 and that chicken door could be binding up and I’d try a pulling it at two points on the door and center the string in the center of those two. Pheasant are wild crazy birds so I’d like to see how they are with you guys. I’ll take some off your hands lol
