Rescues can come with so much trauma sometimes. I am my dog's 3rd owner. He is terrified of loud sounds of dishes being put up, if I pick up a broom or mop and goes and hides in the bedroom. I am glad Loretta is a Cog Hill Farm in a loving and understanding family. I pray you all get a much deserved rest next week!

I think you should keep that green coop in case you have any sick birds, or in case Mary Carl wants to expand her pigeon coop, and maybe make an even bigger coop and attach it to the purple pigeon palace. Or even if she gets another rare breed that she'll want to breed. It could become the LOVE SHACK for breeding pairs.

She came from a piggy mill. I have a dog that was used as a breeder momma in a puppy mill. The trauma that they endure is unbelievable. I've had her since she was 3, and she is now 9 & she still carries with her the damage from that place. It makes me so sad that people can do that to a precious life. Enjoy your time off. My sister's dog was the same way...both dogs would get a treat and the one dog would distract the other one and grab his treat too.

I rescued a Chihuahua that was obviously bred for puppies and dumped. She was on her own on the side of the highway, from what I heard. I've had her for several years and she still snatches food and eats like it's her last meal. She will also take extra and go hide it for later.💔💔😔

We ended up with a cat thst was older-ish, had probably been an indoor cat, could handle a heavy step as long ws it wasnt a boot, and had been clearly dumped at the edge of a bark and gravel yard. She made it to the work trailer where the guys fed her bits and pieces 6 days a week for 2 weeks and managed to escape the cyotes. Some 3, 4 o'clock at the onset of a three day Labor Day week-end, we got a phone call asking if we could get there to get the cat before the coyotes got her; they were leaving in a half hour, would try to grab her, and stay a few minutes more and as long as they could before the gates were locked. We picked up the cat and had a larger containment cage out on the covered back deck. She was so shook that even falling leaves made her jump and she would litterally eat her self sick once she began to eat. Over the next several years we got through everything but an "empty" food bowl. We ended up using a medium sized, chrome, dog food bowl for all day feeding at will. If that bowl ever got empty enough she could see the bottom she would begin eating enough to get sick and we would have to work the eating issue again. We tried a ceramic bowl of the same general size and shape but a day and a half later of no visible eating, we went back to the chrome; i think she wanted to clearly see if the chrome bottom of the bowl could be seen.

Glad Moody and Mildred are exploring their new pasture!! The bowels are working out for the pigs, no more hunting for them!!
