Great reminder of how important local pubs are. Long may they continue.

The guy playing pool w/the gray dreads sticking out of his hat - he's a wise man. Would love to have a pint or two w/him if I could. My Mum was born in a pub, my grandparents were publicans until they died. Pubs are what made England great.

Local pubs should get council subsidies or something because it is not profitable these days to run a small pub like that. That's why you see so many pubs closing. Selling a few pints and fish and chips now and then won't keep you in black numbers...

2024 is it still open - oddly seen more and more micropub youtubes - is the pub scene still healthy in UK understood many have closed down - thats a real pub living in france now so dont have quite the same here -

PUB Toilets Mean

Unlike most commentators on here, it looks boring ... Plus Id hate to have people slurring around me ... It would be nice to have a social setting for people to meet, and have a deep, intelligent conversation! Where beautiful music could be played (preferably live) , and some could meet their future spouses... Am I just an unrealistic dreamer ? I would feel totally out of place, in this atmosphere ! I feel "lost" in this world....like a fish out of water....It felt good in California, but nowhere else...
