Yeah and it's not gonna work for shit, watch the poor engine starve. Needs to look at a few other pickups to see how to do it right.

@@lucasurlie2372 First of all, his pickup won't suck any oil unless it is all the way at the top of the strainer where the opening starts, which means that any sloshing oil will cause starvation unless the sump is grossly overfilled. Also, a pickup should be able to move around a bit with gravity and g-forces in order to follow the oil around the pan, so that a little sloshing won't cause the pump to run dry intermittently.

@@rjk7104 Man, I've never seen an oil pickup that wasn't solid mounted. Yeah, they're normally fairly flat or have a snout on them to pick up oil right at the bottom of the pan, but they don't fucking move around.

Umm, you want me to find a picture of an OEM Mazda Rotary pickup? Like Suppy made, just smaller diameter. 4.5 litres or so will go in that sump, I reckon they must be almost all the way filled up, no crank to worry about windage.

No, it is not. Will not pick up oil after 250 rpm, unless engine overfilled.
