Could be the water pump on the 895 Tom, when the bearing goes it will loose loads of water. £300 repair if you are lucky. 🤞🏻Give the fan a wiggle, see if it moves.

Dye check for exhaust gases in the coolant? Cracked head, blown gasket? Usually caused by a failure of a cooling system component, such as a Plugged or leaking Radiator, Water pump leak, or loose belt, spinning, deteriorated hub, faulty cooling fan or switch/sensor and lastly and most common, a stuck Thermostat etc.

Great to see all those lakes disappear into puddles. The old tractor doesn't like water in the sump oil,that's more than likely to have helped it seize up, new injectors and a good old fashioned service will be running like new.

Check the dip stick, if it dont look right then take the head off and check. fill the bore with diesel and if it stays the same then the rings are ok. easy job to check Tom .
@LordClunk
@LordClunk 4 жыл бұрын
If diesel engines are overheating, don't switch them off. Let them idle. You need the water circulating to let it cool. Have you cleaned the radiator at all? Get a pressure washer and blast the radiator. If the vanes are clogged with mud and slurry, the air cannot pass to cool the water. It might not be a head gasket. The top symptoms for head gasket are oil in water, or water in oil. More than likely, your radiator is full of shit.
@RealMaGicXz

I didnt think of that first thing I thought was something to do ekth the thermostat maybe stuck and so therefore not triggering on and not cooling the engine possibly
@dazzlerby
@dazzlerby 4 жыл бұрын
It's overheating because it's losing coolant, creating an air lock in the system, thus it can't cool. I'll bet it's a leak in the coolant system or the head gasket. I had an old diesel Citroen ZX that blew a head gasket, I had to top-up the coolant and bleed the system every time I drove it.
@LordClunk
@LordClunk 4 жыл бұрын
@@dazzlerby Its loosing water because hot water becomes steam and escapes through the expansion cap.

So wash out your block and radiator with milking machine costic and rinse afterwards with clean water. If there is a blow out comming from the radiator once cap is removed then your head gasket is gone across the combustion chamber allowing hot gas to enter the water chamber and cause overheating. Verify your water pump is working correctly as well.

Please check your engine for external leaks. Especilaay from radiator to the engine. Then check your water pump. If it's pumping water and no leaks then check your oil for water contamination. This usually indicates cylinder head gasket fault. Hope this helps

My truck had overheating issues, I replaced the radiator and water pump and that solved the problem. As the radiator ages, the water doesn't flow as well through the channels, causing overheating. I'd definitely start with these 2 and not go right to the head unless your seeing other signs like oil mixing in the coolant.

Your land is so flat! Looks like the videos I see from the Netherlands. Actually southern New Jersey (USA) looks flat like that too. There's a lot of farms down there. We go down in summer to pick-your-own peach farms, strawberries and my favorite blueberries. There are turf grass farms and cranberry fields there too. It's sandy, acidic soil I think. But the difference is sunshine. We have lots of sun and humidity in NJ summers. I'm in northern NJ where the land is just all rocks and full of hills and valleys.
