Something similar happened to me quite recently, I had a friend group but they started to make fun of me,kept secrets without me, had group chats without me and always spoke about me whilst I’m there. I stay by myself now and I don’t have any friends but I don’t mind because it means I can focus properly on my a levels. I’ve realised there’s no point of being with people for the sake of having to sit with someone at lunch since they were such a distraction to me anyways and affected me mentally. I’ve come to terms to be fine with myself now and happy with the way things are going tbf

@@habzzzz that’s the self awareness showing up. If I could tell my younger self a few things, one would def be to not worry about the validation from others so much. To be comfortable on my own. And even to be aware of other people that might be going thru tough times and maybe look out for them a little more than I did.

We all experienced a Carrie didn’t we? That person who you’d be sat next to in a lesson and you’d have anxiety the full time. The girl who would make nasty comments, point and laugh, make people feel uncomfortable. Half the time the teachers didn’t even speak up when they saw them doing wrong. It’s bullying in the most obvious form and yet it goes on even to this day, it’s actually really sad.
